Julie and the Phantoms being in the thumbnail and then not being in the video. 😭 Nah but like, fave fictional bands are probably Cheetah Girls, Julie and the Phantoms (and Sunset Curve, tell your friends!), The Archies (Sugar Sugar is probably my favorite song of all time ever), and since The Trebletones we’re included I’m gonna say The Dalton Academy Warblers (even though they’re a glee club, not a band lol). Honorable mention of Boyz ‘N Motion from That’s So Raven, and The Naked Brothers Band. Like they had music, but they were made specifically for the show.

You missed some of the first fictional bands to actually make it. The Monkees, The Partridge Family, The Blues Brothers, The Archies! All of which had massive hits. All but The Archies went on to perform in live shows for real (The Archies were a cartoon). The Monkees were originally conceived for a TV show in 1966. They released two albums as a group. Their most popular song was covered by Smashmouth, and is featured in the movie Shrek (I'm a Believer). The Archies had a number one hit in Sugar, Sugar.
