@@clintevans1921 Freddie was a great front man and had some of the most iconic and musical vocals of all time. With that said, Chris was much more advanced and even versatile technically. Freddie couldn’t even begin to replicate things like Slaves & Bulldozers and Beyond the Wheel, meanwhile I know Chris could handle everything in Freddie’s catalog even if the style was slightly different. There’s no falsetto note Freddie ever sang that Chris couldn’t nail

just an FYI since I haven't seen it posted but the drummer, Matt Cameron, has been the drummer for Pearl Jam for the past 20+ years. I feel like their music got super boring as soon as he joined. He was perfect for Soundgarden, tho. He's as good as they get, technically, and that band needed somebody to keep virtually every song together.

"Where's the first beat?" haha... "Rusty Cage" starts in 4/4! What they don't realize is that Matt Cameron's drumming is literally driving most of Soundgarden's songs. They're my favorite band because every member of the band wrote music and contributed. Even Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd play guitar and sing. It's important to note that the songs they listened to were written by Chris Cornell.

Always nice to see some young'uns giving Soundgarden a listen. :) I'm going to suggest whoever's off-camera doesn't need that weird animated thing & dodgy vocal effect thing. The young'uns may enjoy the less complex Audioslave more than Soundgarden btw.... few can match Brad & Tim for a simple 4/4 with an *epic* bounce. :) Morello's guitar "stylings" annoy me tbh, but again the young'uns may enjoy it.

First I must mention that Soundgarden is my favorite band. Anything with Chris Cornell is amazing. My favorite voice of all time. All three of these bands Soundgarden, Nirvana and Pearl Jam are all amazing musicians. I'm 62 yrs old and Grunge bands are among my favorite music. All very talented at their craft.

For me, the top Grunge bands of all times are: 1) Pearl Jam - The band with the longetivity and the great songs. It's hard to rate their best songs because they have so many. 2) Nirvana - Their contribution to the grunge scene.. pretty much started the whole music movement by themselves.. cannot be discounted. 3) Alice In Chain - Their songs hit you in the feels. Staley has the kind of voice that you'll never forget 4) Soundgarden - Cornelle has got to be one of the best vocalists of all time
