She deserved an oscar for her great performance ! She was badass in it really ! We lost a great one today. Rest peacefully acting genius. She is legendary truly.

What a life and career Gena Rowlands had. She was brilliant in everything, one couldn’t take your eyes off her when she was on the screen. The work with John Cassavetes was groundbreaking, intense, unforgettable. Ms. Rowlands was beautiful , yes, but beyond her physical beauty was a light, an intelligence in what she brought to each character played. She gave us the gift of her lifetime of art.

Gena Rowlands was one of the greatest leading character actresses of all time, right up there with Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck, and Meryl Streep. Gena had a capacity to inhabit her characters right down to the marrow. She was magical on the screen. Obviously, that took a lot of debilitatingly hard work on her part to achieve. Let us all celebrate what she was able to achieve. May her memory be a blessing always.

We were both shopping in Mrs, Gooches health food store in Studio City and had a lovely talk. She was sweet, genuine and with this wonderful way of including you in her life.
