Great stuff all around! I noticed though that the Naaz-Rokha mech has a grammatical mistake on the wording of the card: “…it is a also ship.” The Winnu mech also seems to have some oddly written text. I think it should read, “…after which you gain control of a planet, you may place 1 PDS or 1 space dock from your reinforcements on that planet.” Feel free to message me with more cards to proof. I want to see more! :)

To answer your first question I can only guess. I would say yes and that they should. On to your second question which I can answer without a doubt. You are "able" to fit a fourth ring on the play mat with slight over hang on the north/south end or east/west depending on how you have it oriented. Other wise it does fit. I have two copies of the game and one time some family and friends of mine played a grand six player game. Four rings, double all planets, double all anomalies, 14 points, it was epic in every respect.

I'm confused why the Blood Pact promissory note say that it's an Action? Shouldn't that just automatically apply during the Agenda phase? Or do you have to spend an Action during the tactical turns to "activate" it for use later or something?

If it was Joan D'arc and she wanted it in French, that makes sense. If it was Superman and he wanted it in Spanish, I would suggest Kryptonian. Not because of racism, but because it matches the character the author is protrayed as. The joke relies on the fact the primary language is English and the requested translation is another language spoken by a human rather than the fantastical languages the character knows. And the joke only works because it is a fictional character that would know a fantastical language first, over another human language.

Ssruu is overwhelming. As most of us can't get TI4 to the table regularly mimic cards are a bit much. But I think I want it anyway. If only we had friends willing to play regularly. How old do kids have to be before you can convince them to play? What's the success rate? Do I need 14 in order to have 7 kids who will play? Maybe in 2040 I'll finally have a regular group.

They already amended the diplomacy and those other two techs from the original game before this expansion rolled out. Most people are already playing with the upgraded variant of Diplo, Magen, and X89 including Space Cats

It means that the expansion is considered to be the new and improved whole version of the game. That the whole expansion is meant to be used, and not used in parts, and that the game hopefully fixes previous issues with the game with additional fixes coming out as the Codex.

Still liked the distant sun method of seeding events on the board and getting a one time boon or loss. Made being the first to a planet a dangerous, confused thing. All of them fell in love with twilight imperium the moment I told them about it. Now I host 6 player (will be 8 with the expansion, always have to leave someone out) Imperium games 1-4 times a month. Sometimes we play Root, Rising Sun or Spirit Island.

The only real new original thing of worth is the 7 new races. (which may or may not be interesting) GG. Also again, I'm playing Shattered Ascension. Twilight Imperium is already a niche game. And I understand why all the companies try to chase the elusive bigger market dream. Simplify, dumb down are the key words for this process and it generally result in inferior products that appeal to no one. Or they simply lost what made them great in the first place by chopping off some of the features. They took a niche game and removed enough so that the average gamer could play it within time constraints.(few people want to play a game thats beyond the 5 hour mark) Now TI4 does have things I like; the tech tree and the commodity system are much more interesting ways of proceeding with the game. But in the end, Shattered Ascension remains a more compelling, balanced and in-depth "epic" strategy game. This expansion as in no way swayed me to put aside my customed copy of TI3. But im sure this expansion will still please many people regardless. And that's perfectly fine.
