A precious little baby boy, such a sweet blessing. We get who the Lord gives us. We have one Grandson and 10 granddaughters and we have 5 girls ourselves. My last daughter just found out she is having a baby boy. I can't wait but would have been just as excited for another baby girl. God is good! Healthy babies are all that matter.

Hey guys! I actually just randomly stumbled upon your account, which is so timely as we just had our gender reveal on Saturday March 23, ALSO finding out we were having our 4th boy! So much of what you guys shared resonated with me as I’ve completely experienced all of it. Thank you for your authenticity but also remaining thankful and glorifying God in it all. He really does know what he’s doing and each child is such a blessing. I’ve yearned for a daughter ever since I was a young girl so I’ve honestly questioned “why, God?” Many times. But having faith is going beyond what we understand and trusting that He has everything working together for the good of those who love Him. I think our boys may be similar ages too by the looks. We have a 6 (almost 7) year old, 5 year old, and 22 month old. Next guy is due in Sept! What a privilege and gift to raise mighty men of God, future leaders! And also for them to have such special bonds with one another. Lots of love from Australia x

I completely understand where you're coming from! I have two boys, and we plan to try for one more. I've told my husband, if the third is a boy, I would probably cry. Not because that boy would be loved any less, but because I'd be sad that we'd never experience what it would be like to have a daughter! Congratulations to you guys! Congratulations! All of your feelings and reactions are so normal! When I was pregnant with my first I was DESPERATE for a girl until my hairdresser told me “boys always love there mamas so much”. It softened my heart and I was ready for either one. I ended up having a boy and I’m so glad. I’d be honored to have 3 more just like him❤

My beloved paternal grandmother who was my best friend and lived to be 98, had nine boys and one girl, who was number seven, in the sibling lineup. Bumma Bain was Mother-of-the-Year in VA in 1966, and my dear dad, the crème-de-la-crème, was the eldest. He and my mom had six girls and one boy. I have twin sons and two younger daughters. Now my children are having babies. Sons are immense blessings! Mine are my best friends!

Thanks for being honest about your authentic reactions. I think it is understandable that you have had a dream of having a girl. The opposite experience, the daughter who looks up to her dad, and mom and daughter girl time. These boys will bring daughter in laws into your lives. Comments like this annoy me so much. Some people don’t want 5 kids. Some people don’t only have kids for a certain gender. They said they wanted 4 kids. I hope you always wanted 5 kids and didn’t just have another to “try for a girl” .

@@AM-bs1eu They were clearly a little disappointed that they didn’t have a girl. We did try again for a fifth because we wanted a girl. Perhaps that wouldn’t work for you and your family but it did for us. It was just a little encouragement for them. Obviously they are grown adults who can make up their own minds whether they truly want to stop now or consider having another. Furthermore, they made it plain that they really wanted a girl. Let’s try not to be so testy with strangers on the internet 🥴🥴

I love y’all’s honesty. I always thought I’d have a girl first. I miscarried my first and I really feel like she’s a girl. My rainbow baby was a boy. I prayed and prayed for him after years of infertility and loss. But I still felt disappointed when I found out he was a boy. And I did cry 😆 but obviously he came and I wouldn’t have it any other way but I get it. I got a late start because of the struggle with infertility and loss. We’re trying for one more and I really pray I have a girl! Thank you guys for sharing and congrats!

I’m feeling all the feels for you. I have six boys and one girl. My girl being our sixth child. After our Forth baby, mostly because of peoples comments and wishes for us I really started longing for a baby girl. After a miscarriage, the Lord blessed us with a baby girl, and we are so thankful to at least have one. I know that I am naturally a better boy mom because I grew up with five brothers and no sisters until my parents adopted a baby girl later on when I was 17. My first five boys are very close in age and close as friends. That to me is a huge bonus. I feel like the Lord knows best and I completely understand your emotions and I also know that your family will be perfect just the way God planned it. My sister has 4 boys and she always felt she would have a daughter and that part of her dream died because she couldn’t have any more after her 4 due to complications. The most exciting thing for her was when she realized God picked her to raise 4 Godly young men and that is a real blessing. Here was one thought I had for encouragement: whether God surprises you with a 5th baby that’s possibly a girl - or not - you have 4 boys. They’ll all get married one day. You’ll have 4 daughters that way. :) then all 4 couples will have babies. You’re BOUND to have a girl or two or three somewhere in there!! :) so it will happen!!!! Lol you guys are cute! I really wanted a boy and had 3 girls! And then after my marriage broke down and got divorced the Lord brought me into another relationship and my new partner has 2 girls of his own! And there was definitely a part of me that considered that maybe we should have a child together to try for a boy but we’re definitely past that baby stage of our life and we also feel content with 5 girls! And my spouse even says he doesn’t think he could handle a boy! Lol. It’s pretty sweet to have 5 girls too! Not many people can say that! But I definitely get the emotions that can be disappointing when it’s not what you expect! But all children are such miracle blessings! Your boys are going to have so much fun together growing up!! The good news is you know how to take care of boys and have lots of clothes which will save you a lot of money:) You will be fine:) I know how you feel. I had 3 boys very planned pregnancies and we were done after 3. We never found out the gender until birth but I definitely as you said mourned not having a girl. Well… when my youngest was 6 we had a very accidental surprise pregnancy, twin girls! So you just never know!

Yay for another boy ! I do understand being a little disappointed when you’d like some of each gender. We have 7 boys and no girls. lol We let God plan our family so we have the children that He sends us without putting any barrier between Him and us. It’s huge blessing in our marriage ! I love love love being a boy mom. We would love more boys or a girl or several if God sends us more children. Both genders are wonderful in their own unique way! I like to remember that our 7 sons will most likely get married and bring us 7 daughters in law and maybe some grand daughters! So many people I know who had all of one gender end up having a lot of grandchildren of the opposite gender! Which is so fun! Either way God has blessed you with the special little one you’re supposed to have and the one your family needs! We always wait to find out the gender or our babies at their birth so that’s always helped me too I think. It’s so fun holding your new baby in your arms and finding out what it is! It’s a very special moment. I hope you will continue to seek the Lord and continue to have more children! They are God’s greatest blessings! I’ve met many people who said they wished they have had more children but no one else no said they were glad they didn’t have more. Just something to think on. ❤

I totally get your heart because my husband and I keep having girls…5 girls and we are having another baby…we find out the baby’s sex next week and we want a boy. And it is sad when a dream is not realized. But by God’s grace we are raising our girls to fear God and love Him above all…God see us before the foundation of the earth, he already knows what each of our children will be.
