No sweetie, if he cared about your well being even in the slightest he would have the care and compassion to think of someone’s needs besides his own. It shouldn’t have even been a discussion or a question. It should be a given because expecting the opposite is ludicrous. Yea take my two children to a waiting room chock full of sick ppl when they’re of the age they lick everything and can’t sit still. It’s the better option then me (their father) watching them at home. Do you see how completely stupid that is? Damn, problematic people always amaze me, you look how "scary" was his look or whatever, which was the look he had every moment of that video that he was quiet and listening btw. Nobody even consideres that he recognizes that it was not a good behaviour and he feels a little ashamed that he didn't noticed, but no "he's an evil man because of his look" She told how it happened, and by the way she said how he answered "oh you're gonna take them, oka, see when you get back" it's likely that he was a bit off and we men are simply really off sometimes, even us don't like being like that because we know the problem it can cause by not payinf attention to what our partner is trying to get from us and if we really like you, we don't want to hurt you. I know it would sound unbelievable. but if you're discussing how you both are going to decide how to deal with an unexpected situation, if she comes with a "solution" and say that she's gonna take the kids with her, whatever tone you use, most of men would think "alright, deal, problem solved, let's do it this way then" in a surprisingly unworried way, not because they don't care about you, but because it sounded for him that the problem that existed was solved. And I see that happening because if they changed postions in that situation and had to take the kids and he came up with the idea to take the kids with him, any man would probably had the exact same mind: "alright, deal, problem solved, let's do it this way then" and take the kids with him like nothing happened. Men's head unfortunately and unintentionally works this way: "if it was with me, it wouldn't be a problem for me, so it wouldn't be for you", some of them will express it btw and might act agressively (and this behaviour can't be accepted), which it didn't sound to be the case, but some will just act unintentionally indifferent, they might not even think this, but they wil act according to it. Any men awake knows that has to work on this, specially in the first case - agressive men are dangerous - but also in the second one, which is far from rare. I agree he could acted better as partner, I also agree that he had to take the kids with him without hesitation, but if anyone sounds off, specially a man, it's important to make sure that you're saying what you really want with clear words, because otherwise they won't get you

I’m quite introverted so I feel like I need someone to get me out of my shell to balance that, but then I also love deep intellectual conversations so I look for someone that can complement that aspect. There’s never a one size fits all personality and the same way there’s no one size fits all body type. We’re all created unique by God’s beautiful design so guys, don’t ever be discouraged! You all have wonderful personality traits that God gave you for a reason! No I think he definitely should have used his man brain to not be so obtuse and make you take the kids to a doctors appointment. Yes communication is good, but seriously. And how many videos I’ve watched and is lack of willingness to apologize to you as a Christian man is so mind blowing. PRIDE! What I find most attractive about my husband is that when I point something out, and it’s hurt me, even if he doesn’t agree he can say “I’m sorry that hurt you, that was never my intention and I’ll try and do better and find a different way” this man… I can’t. You should pray on that Nate. Humble yourself and serve your wife like she does for you. I can’t find the air port/not eating video on here right now or the working out after the baby video But look back please. Pray and reflect. Take yourself down a peg. Yes I get she didn’t “think” that as a grown man she would have to think about your needs without you actually communicating them to you, but you are also responsible for your self and your needs. Or the fact that doesn’t matter what you meant about the work out comments. You still hurt her feeling. Of course she’s still going to love you and move on, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take responsibility or that that’s such a sensitive time in a woman’s life and just saying “you know I love you no matter what you look like and God gave me you. I love you and I’m so sorry I made you feel that way, I never wanted to do that” humble yourself. What would Jesus do. We are all wrong doers. We all should be apologizing for hurting others intentional or not. Your wife is more precious that rubies. Love her as Christ loved the church. Feel sorry for hurting her. Think of her. God first, then her, then children, self LAST! You have a huge following. Be better buddy. Show the True Christ. Not this toxic man Christian image that’s giving anti Christians room to talk about on tiktok. We don’t need any more ammo to load into their weapons.

Ugh, here from TikTok again. It's despicable behavior, frankly, if a husband doesn't just assume he will be watching the kids while his wife is at URGENT CARE. Good grief, I wouldn't even have to hint at it or be sarcastic. There is clearly some very toxic, narcissistic behavior on Nate's part and the fact that your two sit down to do marriage advice videos is appalling. My husband (of 19 years) and I are also conservative Christians, and we are far from perfect and marriage is very hard, but if I were headed to urgent care for any reason he'd drop everything to help me, no questions asked. It's sad to me that Sutton tolerates this gross behavior from her husband, and furthermore that you two think this kind of content sets a good example. What's worse, TikTokers looking to hate on Christianity are using Nate's toxicity as examples of why Christianity is bad. Gah. Stop giving them perfect content! 🤦🏼♀️

At the end of our first phone call (we met online) he asked if he could pray over us and it blew my socks off! He wears his heart on his sleeve and is never shy about saying how he feels. And the most important character trait was I wanted someone who loved God more than he loved me. I knew if he loved God more than me, he would resect and love me, and always follow Christ's lead in our lives. I knew there would be an incredible amount of safety in that. And now we're celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary next month!

Isn't Redeeming love like soft porn though? Don't you guys think it is being used to slowly incorporate some worldliness and lukewarmness to Christianity? Would anyone recommend to read the book to a girl in her twenties who has struggled with lust in the past? I would love to order it but I am quite hesitant because it seems to be getting mixed reviews.
@Mrs_Awili3 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree on being VERY careful about this title in particular along with some of the author’s other books. It is def on the side of soft porn (didn’t see the movie) and I would argue it is not necessary to “entertain” Christians with romantic novels that include worldly lusts and fleshly desires so explicitly. I am a woman who struggles with lust/mental purity and I’ve not allowed myself to read this book because I don’t want to support romantic novels or to dwell on anything of this nature even if it is based on a biblical story. I wouldn’t let my kids read it if I had any. My 2 cents
@sandracrig3783 жыл бұрын
I agree the book definitely has some definite descriptive scenes however, the book is fashioned from the book of Hosea in the Bible. If you read the book of Hosea before or after reading this book, you may see the story in a different light.In the book of Hosea, you will see that God ked Hosea to take a wife (not a pure wife) and the issues he experienced during his marriage. If you really think the story of the book through, one will see themself as the Harlot, in need of a savior. We, like Angel have many sins yet God loves us anyway and desires for us to turn to him and allow him to give us a better life. Yet, we just can’t comprehend his love and often turn away from him.

@@sandracrig378 Then I'll just read Hosea. The author of Hosea didn't see ot fit to describe Hosea and Gomer's intimate moments and even song of songs isn't explicit.
@annabelkruger63413 жыл бұрын
In the NT God tells us not to be unequally yoked, and the book romanticizes being unequally yoked. They try to put a Biblical spin on it by saying that it is based on Hosea. God commanded Hosea specifically to marry Gomer to image God's faithfulness to His bride despite His bride's unfaithfulness toward Him. Hosea had a direct command from God, the unequally yoked command was only given in the New Testament, therefore Hosea did not sin. However, God established the terms for marriage clearly in the NT by telling us not to be unequally yoked. You do not marry a person in order to evangelise them, or to help them out of bad circumstances. Marriage is nog a charity case, you have to think about your children.

The fact that that movie showed more than needed to and that was just from watching the trailer put me off the entire thing and you confirmed it. It should not matter how nice the story line is, either make a Christian movie that's a safe space to minister to people or don't bother at all. Putting all that in there would cause believers to stumble or give them an excuse to think that "it's a Christian movie so it's ok".

Marietta Van Middelkoop From my understanding neither the movie nor the book was meant to copy the book of Hosea, it’s very clearly said that it’s LOSELY based on the story of the couple in it, they literally say it inspired this story so you shouldn’t be going into it expecting that exact same theme or accuracy considering that’s not what the authors intent ever was.

@deborahbrant11503 жыл бұрын
@New Soul.9 Masculine or feminine can be applied to both behavior and physical qualities. In my comment, I was praising Sutton's preferences because she prefers the qualities of a masculine man, according to scripture. The world praises the physical qualities of what is masculine or feminine. Using that world's definition then yes, a flat chest and booty are not considered feminine and a short male isn't considered masculine. So you're right, that definition is stupid, but it's not the definition I am using. Being feminine or masculine means something different in the Bible. It's based on character not physical.

@New Soul.9 Every human is loved by God no matter how masculine or feminine they are. No matter how tall, how skinny. All individuals are created and formed by the Lord. There was apparently so much debate going on in the Christian US about nudity and intimate scenes (it is covered) in the movie, and some youtubers basically telling Christians not to go. I find your positive short review refreshing and at the same time letting people know to be cautious of some scenes. I understand that for some people who are struggling with lust it might not be good idea to watch, but let it be their own conviction. Sometimes US christianity is standing so much for what they are against of and not what they are pro of, that they are turning non-Christians away. So thank you for your positive review! ❤

I’m not touchy so when I flirt I get kinda scared about that 🤷🏻♀️😂 I also ask random questions and sometimes tend to be a little bit more shy.

I just bought Redeeming Love and am getting ready to start it! Francine Rivers is an incredible author.

Like the Kelly Clarkson song says, pick the weeds but keep the flowers. When I met my ex he prayed for the food because we went out to eat when we met.

Just to add, about flirting, I had a guy who every now and then when talking he used to touch a girl and I really got bored and we broke up. Honestly I think its wise to know when to stop touching anyhow

Almost every single one of these, o was thinking "I would say the same thing." Except I would take it farther and say I would be disappointed if the guy didn't pray on the first date, and I don't think shorter girls care about height very much as long as the guy is still taller than us

Loved both videos, and I saw Redeeming Love yesterday and it was AMAZING!! Also Sutton, I being a woman thought your hair was totally fine. I noticed it while watching but honestly thought you were going for a look similar to how some wear a side bun type thing. I thought it was cute like I wish my hair was that long haha, but I get how it feels when you know what you're going for only to find out that it tried to do it's own thing yet others are like oh I thought that's what you meant to do lol. #girlprobs

I'd say it's kinda hot if the guy prays before the meal lol.

I also liked taller guys until i fell in love with my best friend who was shorter. Was with him for years and i never thought man i wish he was shorter. I thought man i wish he was nicer and thats y we broke up 🤣 maybe its better to do a poll of many women people change their minds when they fall in love so really none of this stuff matters in the end. We fall for the heart.

Muscle mass doesn’t matter to me at all. I prefer intelligence and sense of humor the most.

Please watch Alisa Childers video called "Here's Why I am NOT going to See Redeeming Love". Read the comments also before you make the decision to watch it. I haven't seen it myself, I've just been hearing different reviews both good and bad. But her take on it made me 100% make up my mind to not watch it.

In your recent videos, people have been highlighting some red flags that I think you guys need to address. In the beginning, this channel was really growing, and we were all excited for you, but I think it has slowed down because of these red flags. Usually, I am your first defender when people would criticize you guys (mostly Nate) but I could not explain this video away. Nate, your body language when Sutton was describing the urgent care situation made me nervous. I have seen other comments calling you a "narcissist" "abusive" etc, please give the viewers an explanation of your point of view because, at this point, I may have to agree with some of these commenters. Perhaps we are not seeing eye to eye with you, but your body language on camera is scaring people. Perhaps you don't see how you are coming across. Maybe you guys truly have a beautiful partnership off-camera but on camera there are times, I just have to agree with the negative comments. So please address these concerns and let us get an understanding. Maybe this is just a huge misunderstanding. Sometimes when I have seen myself on camera I can look uninterested. Or when I dance I feel like I am full of energy but when I look back at the video I look sloppy and tired. Perhaps it is just your facial expressions. I say all this with love and I want to see you guys planting these seeds.
