I went to school on this man when I was a teen ager. I´m 79 now and still playing and when the occasion arises, I pull Jug out and people dig it.

Yes, it's that BIG bad-azz muscular soul jazz sound. I'm a Detroiter having grown up listening to this on our local jazz station WJZZ (originally WCHD), on jukeboxes at barber shops and Beauty salons. My biggest thrill is remember seeing my parents ballroom dance off this song, what a tender memory.

Outstanding musicians like Gene Ammons are moe appreciated after they have left this world. I remember this song from my college days. I have always had aand wiill always have a special place in my heart for this piece of excellent music. Mr. Ammons take this song to a new level.

This guy blows me away every time I listen to him and I listen to him a lot. I miss someone that I've never met; wondering what he might have done if he stayed a little longer. Gene is definitely one of my top 3 all-time saxophonist. Glad that you left us so much music that is still relevant today. Your sound is timeless. Thanks!
