This show is fantastic! Starts with John York’s beautiful voice, Rick Danko who’s amazing, joined by Richard Manuel. The Danko/Manuel duo ❤️. Then Blondi Chaplin rocks in. Gene Clark brings it altogether . I love this music!!

I saw a version of this band in a small club in Madison, WI . What a crazy mix of highs and lows! I sure don't remember Rick Danko or Richard Manuel, altho maybe they were there - I wasn't yet a Band fanatic. I think John York was on bass, and Rick Roberts (of Flying Burrito Bros) contributed off-key vocals. The first set was without Gene Clark, and the band sounded awful, especially the vocals. The exception was a gorgeous solo version of "Can't Find My Way Home" that Blondie Chaplin did, accompanied by his accoustic 12-string. It was odd to see a black guy from South Africa fronting a Byrds band, but that was just temporary disconnect. Blondie Chaplin is a talent. Gene Clarke came out for second set and everything changed. His voice was in phenomenal form that night. Every word he sang was lovely. So incredible to hear such a talent in that intimate space.

You might to know that track 2 (Old Paint) is actually titled 'Just One Arrow' composed by John York and it's probably him singing on this version. It appears on a couple of his albums.

Saw them 10 days earlier in Fort Worth, Texas. Danko and Manuel were both there. Great show. I just found the ticket stubs from the show and decided to see if there was anything on the web reflecting the tour. Thanks for posting.

The 2nd Song -- "Old Paint" is listed differently in other places, but I am not familiar with that song by any title. Anyone know if that is on an album somewhere? Who wrote it? Tablature? Any help appreciated. Thanks for this upload!

I know your post is 5 years old. My cd says “Clark” wrote it. It’s my favorite on this set !! John York sings. I’m sure.
