The East Coast vs West Coast was just the perfect storm. Puffy and Suge had issues because Suge's bodyguard got killed; then you had Pac vs Biggie beef, so it was all wrapped up in this big theatrical show that resulted to two of the most talented and influential rappers getting killed. At first Pac was entertaining the beef. He saw Biggie at the Soul Train Award show when they crossed paths, and I remembered in an interview Biggie said Pac told him I am just trying to sell records. Pac saw this beef helped take his career to the next level. In the song "Live and Die in LA" he mentions his records selling 4 & 5 millions, so he knew the beef helped him to sell records. Pac was getting tired of the beef and shenanigans at Death Row. He was beginning to see the bigger picture. That's why Pac wanted to make the "One Nation" album to show his solidarity to the East. He was also in talks to end this East Coast vs West Coast beef because he was seeing how the media was profiting off of it and making it bigger than what it was. Pac stressed in an interview that this is about Biggie and Pac, and not the whole East Coast. That's why they were going to create Death Row East.

Big probably had known of Pac and Jack hanging out before because Biggie visited Pac and even left guns in the same hotel that the rape accusation sprung from. Even if it wasn't about a robbery, Big warning Pac about a well known gangster that he knew Pac had been hanging around since 1993 and had problems with at the time (Pac gave a reason why Jack was still around in the 1995 Vibe interview) probably would've been odd. I believe Pac thought there must've been more to it.

I've been watching all Gene deals interviews with art, and i have to say he's coming off super legit. Everything his says is 100, just by his persona, and what he's saying etc. this was a deep insight into puffy trying to settle the beef with dog pound over Biggy and Dog Pound issue. that just came off so deep. This came off legit and tells a story about how puffy was just living his life trying to be successful but caused a lot of what happened in the east coast west coast issues and he is not only directly but indirectly involved in tons of altercations that happened threw out those times. Quad, Biggy, pac deaths, talking to Crips Keefe D, Suge and his buddy dying Big Jake. Diddy was directly or indirectly in all the big incidents that lead to the East coast West coast issues. Big likely knew Pac was hanging with Jack way before that and even visited Pac at the same hotel where the rape accusation began. If he was right about the timeline, then Pac would've already had beef with Jack by then. He gave a reason why Jack was still around in the 1995cVibe interview,, so it would've been to get the bottom of it if Pac really did say something. Remember that Pac was still cool with Big before the shooting, so if he was dp'd; it could've been from basically giving Pac a heads-up about a potential setup and they caught on. I don't see Big being cool with Pac that long if he was robbed for warning him about gangsters being "bad people". It was likely something else that happened close to the time of the Quad Studio shooting if Big was robbed/disciplined.

However, he did allude to something interesting around the 1:10 mark which was that biggie told puff information (the type of information is unclear) about pac that biggie proabably shouldn't have told puff.
