We were fortunate enough to hear Gene many times at Peter Schotts in Boise Idaho and at the St. Chapelle winery back in the day.....

I was in the audience, at a table near the front for this performance…actually the whole weekend. It was an amazing event! They had to tune the piano after every performance he hit those keys so hard! I was able to take a great photo of him with his arm pulled back just before he slammed those keys. We lost a great artist when we lost Gene Harris!

So glad for this recording of Gene Harris (the best Jazz/Blues pianist), playing “A Little Blues There” possibly the best blues/with chops” song ever. NO REALLY! Don’t even bother arguing 😠
