I met Shawn Michaels at a book signing and I think he was having a bad day because he was really rude,. I don't want to think he is that kind of person because I am sure lots of people had good experiences with him. I just caught him on a bad day. When I met Bobby Heenan, I told him it was an honor to meet him. He looked at me, smiled and said very humbled, "Oh thank you so very much." Bobby was so kind and he made me feel a lot better. I sold the Shawn Michaels book but I still have Bobby's.

As much as I liked Gene on tv, that is disgusting. In order for him to get that transplanted liver, someone had to die. Then, while he was boozing it up on his transplanted liver, someone else was dying,... waiting for a liver transplant...which Gene got..and drank away. As a son of someone who died needing a kidney transplant, Gene's behavior sickens me.

I met Gene just a few years before his accident and ultimately what would be his death. To me, he was just this awesome, cordial and friendly person that seemed to have no idea just how legendary he really was. He was just that same guy that I watched on television; nothing more, nothing less than you'd expect. I mentioned that I loved his WCW days (I really did, that was true) and how I thought it was just the best. Without missing a beat, He slaps me on the shoulder and says "Hey, off the record of course but it was the best, it had to be the best because everything else in that company was just so damned terrible!" Gene was a true legend though and for what it's worth, he was right but I so loved WCW. 🤣
