Gene wasn't giving the kid a lesson on how to play the drums, he was directing the kid on how the song is supposed to be played. it was playful, funny, and awesome because the kid did good. that kid will always cherish that time he played with Gene Simmons and even got some pointers. just awesome.

I’m 19 and I’m a drummer, got to play a few songs in my dads bands throughout my life. I can tell you playing on someone else’s kit, ESPECIALLY the first time and only once, it doesn’t feel right or natural. The kid did great, he’s a natural.

I covered for my cousin on his kit when he smashed his knuckle. My kit was in the repair shop. Fucked up the opening song. We had an almost identical set up.
