I am a great big Gene Watson fan !! Beautiful voice and also a nice person when you meet him...Just normal acting, don't try to put on a better than you attitude at all...My daughter is only 12 and she went with me to see him in Carthage Texas in August 2013...She got to meet him and he signed her t shirt....She loves him too. She sings right along with him !! He has a young lady that thinks he is amazing !! Thank you for posting !!

I love to hear Gene sing - everything - and even though this song is sad he makes it sound as though it's affecting him personally. That 's what a great artist does = makes it all believable with heart and soul in it. He sounds as good today as he did then - love him. For sure, he is a sexy guy. I have always loved the outfits like this on the artists. They looked like entertainers. Some of those today look like they just came out of the used clothing store. Thanks for posting this.

Connie Smith is releasing an album with new material but still has a country sound...cause it IS country, like country should be. I'm hoping and praying that she and a few others in Nashville form some kinda "REAL COUNTRY MILITIA" type company and run with it...it they record it, we will buy...

To me, its part of great entertainment - pleasing to the eye while still enjoying the entertainers themselves. I regularly watch Gene's video "I Won't Be Sleeping Alone" in which he wears the sexy green outfit. I think it's in Nashville in the Hall of Fame there now. Thanks again . It's odd. "Farewell Party" was released in 1979 but his outfit and hair look five years earlier than that. Other videos from 79 show a much different-looking Gene. Fantastic performance nevertheless. Gene is the best.

He returned the outfits when finished for the Country Hall Of Fame, as promised to Conway. They were the same size and height! Now then, this one was sexy and he was young. lol

@crackerjacks46 Sharon - I am a die hard opposer to all of the black that is worn by some entertainers. For me, only Johnny Cash looked good in it - he was big and tall and was perfect as "The Man in Black". it's personal with me, of course, but I feel that black is so generic and adds next to nothing to an entertainer's appearance. At least with Gene's outfit here there's the silver that really shines. I like open collars on western shirts. It's just casual enough. - Paula
