Dang.... I am so happy I found this old interview!!! Matt is nothing short of a living legend to us customizers and seeing him conduct a proper interview with THE legend, Gene Winfield was breathtaking. Thanks to both of y'all's for a great interview as well as some historical insight into the history of hot rod customization. I met Gene ONE TIME @ Primer Nationals in Ventura , Ca. , probably about 2010 . Beyond being one , if not THE BEST OLD SCHOOL CUSTOMIZER still with us , he was and continues to be one of the most Down Home , Nice Guys I’ve had the pleasure of talking with . A TRUE AMERICAN TREASURE ! JUST KEEP DOIN WHAT YOU DO BEST GENE !
