I wish I could see more of JP on youtube, there's so little stuff to find I end up listening to the same songs again and again.
@JuhRockenbach6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was commenting exactly this in his Instagram! We need more JP material. His job goes much further from Charon and we don't get to listen much, specially the fans that are really far from Finland
@urielr.borges77676 жыл бұрын
@@JuhRockenbach Yes, total agree with you. Sometimes I get a little angry with others fans even, because like I love Harmaja, the music style, JP singing those calm acustic-like songs, but I only see people talking about how they want Charon back and it always get me thinking what these people have in their heads because, although JP was amazing in Charon anyone can see that his other stuff, specially his stuff that aren't metal, fit him so much better. Just ranting, sorry. You're the first person I see saying that his work is much more than only Charon lol ❤️
@JuhRockenbach6 жыл бұрын
I read an interview (I don't remember where but I will look for it) about this topic and he says that one of the main reasons for the end of his work in Charon was because he felt too tied in the genre. And who could blame him? He is really versatile as artist and I'm happy that he was so brave to follow the path he wanted to. Also, changing the topic a little bit, are you from Brazil by any chance?

Love it! Am a metal head since the 80s... but it's just badass that metal guys cover Ed's excellent tune. I wouldn't say they did it better than Ed, but they did it very well, and put a slightly different spin on it. I could have used those giant "explosions" that Ed did during the chorus though.

This is a Genelec recording for a reason. You need proper studio monitors or headphones to hear this properly.
@lizminellitattoo1 Жыл бұрын
@@MikkoRantalainen good to know. 👍🏼 I’m sure most people don’t have proper studio monitors or headphones.
@MikkoRantalainen Жыл бұрын
@@lizminellitattoo1 That's right and that's why this video is on the Genelec channel which has the intent to market Genelec studio monitors. I have a set in home theater and I think those are good but pretty expensive. Unfortunately, I was able to hear the difference when I compared those monitors to competition so I had to get a Genelec set for myself. It would have been nicer if I couldn't hear the difference because that would have allowed to get something cheaper. I'd recommend trying e.g. Behringer studio monitors instead before getting Genelec gear to see if that's good enough for you. Or if you want passive speakers, B&W stuff seemed pretty good to me, too. One interesting thing about Genelec speakers (at least here in Finland) is that the prices of new units go upwards fast enough that you can always get full price for your set when you sell your speakers if you don't damage them. I could sell my set on the second hand market for more than I originally paid for them as a new! And good headphones are always the cheapest option for given audio quality. And in case you want to hear deep bass in a room, get a DSP corrected subwoofer. (Or an external DSP processor with normal subwoofer.) I used to run the system for over a decade without DSP correction and felt pretty happy with it but DSP correction improved the accuracy of bass notes so much that I'm happy to have one right now. I went for the budget option here so I got second hand unit DSpeaker Anti-Mode 8033 which doesn't look special but does the job. Look for a DSP setup that can fix group delay because that's the killer for subwoofer accuracy. (Group delay refers to issue where frequency causes difference in speaker cone timing. Typically the issue is that lower frequency tones cause delayed movement for the cone and this can be fixed with good enough DSP processing so that all frequencies play at the same time as intended.)

Yeah, he should settle for being a support only. Now it's like the effects drive over the main theme. His voice would be OK as the back up, if they realized that JP should clearly be the lead. Maybe they were all blinded by Marko's fame :)

@@timomastosalo Olen samaa mieltä, että miksaus olisi kannattanut tehdä vähän eri tavalla. JP:n äänen kanssa olisi sopinut hiljaisempi miksaus Markon äänelle.
