How do you remove the pull cord cover on this model? It looks like it is kept on place by 4 ribets. Our was it Allen holes that were stripped?

On the Wheelhouse 5500 generator what is under the plastic that's on top of the motor the spring mechanism and what number does that need to be on the spring I'm referring to

governor and somewhere near the middle i believe. you need to play with it to get it right i put a multimeter in the outlet once i get the rpms to create a perfect 120 is where i keep it to high rpm to high voltage

I need that complete pull start housing mount assembly. The model number on the unit and motor has been removed.

Its a 10 hp briggs but ive had a hard time finding the housings for these. They rust out.

When you're done using the generator unplug everything then turn off the gas then let it run out of gas then the carburetor stays cleaner than it would with gas in it

When it starts to surge because it's running out of gas choke it. It helps burn the rest in the bowl.

Why is there a spring on the throttle arm?

that helps take up slack and keep tension to prevent surging. if it is broken you can bend a new hook a tighter spring wont affect performance. many of the kits come with a new one as well
