Your conifers look beautiful, so much color and texture. Until I moved to Minnesota was more of a flowering perennial gardener. Now I am putting in a couple of conifer gardens so I have color throughout the winter.

I think some videos on spring color of various maples would be awesome. Also a walk through video of larger specimen would be awesome too. It's nice to see what you can expect after 10 years.

I really need help as a "newer" gardener, I am in Zone 7. I started my full sun beds with evergreens/conifers this spring and added perennials to fill the rest of the space. They seemed fine until the high heat of summer. They started turning brown and by mid August were all brown! DEAD! I watered deeply about twice a week -as needed. I don't understand why I keep struggling to keep conifers alive? Do you think it was the water or the full sun location? I'm sad to pull all these out and have to start again. Loss of money, time, work and my evergreens.

It honestly maybe to much water. Try starting with a fall planted to see if they can get established before next summer

What about those weird worms that make cocoons out of the needles that look like little pine cone ornaments? Those nasty things got on my Japanese Maple last year too. I found a product that works to kill them. If not caught in time they kill the entire plant. What are these.???

hey guys new subscriber. I am interested in conifers. isnt it true that once a Conifer is established , that they are light feeders, and given proper mulch and normal needle drop accumulation as additional mulch, shouldnt need much or any fertilization?
@MrMapleShow Жыл бұрын
Totally agree with that statement

I got a golden hinoki cypress a month ago & the bottom foliage is turning yellow/brown 😢 I might be overwatering ? I was watering it about twice a week after planting a month ago.
