Showing this Vintage General Electric Waffle Maker. We found this the other day and fell in love with it, but it needed a bit of cleaning.

Hi! Oh my, I can’t believe you added that blue bleaching gel for toilets, doesn’t sound too safe.. since I have a vintage iron too from the 50s and I need to clean it
@twobrokeguyz1214Ай бұрын
It's just concentrated bleach. Bleach is safe is you rinse well!

heat it till it is warmish, spray it with oven cleaner, and rinse well, then use lots of oil when making waffles.

if you view it from the side when making waffles, when they are no longer steaming, they are done.

and to keep it clean, when done using, dampen some paper towels, bake them for a moment, the steam from the paper towels will loosen any burned or stuck on pieces.

Hi I need your advice on how the temperature settings dile light when should it come on, I think on mine the light bulb might be burnt out, is light bulb pretty easy to replace is it with in reach under the cover on the bottom ?
@twobrokeguyz1214Ай бұрын
Hi, Alex! I really don't know anything about replacing the lightbulb! But I think the light comes on at the beginning when it's heating up to your desired temperature setting, and it goes off when it's reached the right temperature! It's like the light on my 1953 General Electric Stratoliner. The light is on at first and when it reaches the right temperature, it goes off.
