Hi. Quick question on the ef8 Crx you had a few years back. It's come up for sale in my area and I'm considering buying it. Did you get the engine rebuild done or was it done by the owner before you? What bhp did it get after the rebuild? Appreciate any reply. Thanks

The engine was rebuilt by Honda. So was definately done properly! I gave the invoice to the new buyer with a list of what had been done. Also i had it painted again to the factory colour code (rare colour). It was a regretful sale i should have kept it!! But it was sold a while ago so not sure what the new owner has done to it since then. The price on it must be insane now 😅 miss it a lot. Also pretty cool of you to message me about it, thanks 👍

First… Engine oil dipstick - it should be 1 liter between the low-high markings. Second… Never top up the brake fluid container. Because as the brake pads wear out the level in the fluid container get lower. Meaning, when you change to new brake pads the level in the container will rise to full again. Brake fluid attracts water from the air. Test the fluid’s boiling point once a year. Change all of it if the boiling point is low.

Awesome thank you for the advice. Good to know (Suzuki did my last engine oil service which was not long ago, 3 year service came with package deal or would have done myself). It seems good but will keep an eye on it 👍

@@MinisterVids How often do you do these checks? Also, do you have a certain RPM you use to change up gears, assuming a flat road and no load?
