I was in the Navy at the time when I learned that Mr. Graff passed away. It is truly sad to hear about because he will always be known as Tackleberry. He was in all 7 films in the franchise including the TV show that ran in the late 90's as Tackleberry. The Police Academy show did not last long.

I own Police Academy, and have seen them all back in the day. They just don't make great movies like those from the 80's. I have said that for years. Great seeing the Sherman house. Studies the Civil War a lot. Thanks Jordan! You always find places of interest where ever you go. Been looking for a Live Stream. It was a Great Q & A this month on Patreon. Take care!

Thanks for the bio of Sgt.Tackleberry, aka David Graf. He was one funny man! From a Confederate point of view, General Sherman was a villain, but I believe his great strategy to bring the war directly to the civilians led to a quicker end to the war. Thanks for mentioning Hal Holbrook. His portrayal of Twain was wonderful, but I enjoyed his various roles on TV. Gable museum tomorrow will be a great treat!!!

Jordan - you are such a good guy, I love binge watching your vlogs because you always show cool stuff, you are so respectful to EVERYWHERE you visit & I love that you support & promote these places which helps keep them going for more people/generations to see. You truly are a good man. Thanks for all your hard work because I for one would not be able to see the amazing people & paces (& learn about so many new ones) if it were not for your vlog. Much respect Misha x

Great vlog. What a beautiful town full of history and interesting places. I love the statue of the ladies having a chat. What detail. The brooch and the pearl necklace. You'd swear they are real. Glad to see Jah has made another friend. Interesting history of the town jail. It's neat they have haunted tours there. That house decorated for Halloween was awesome. The fountain with the blood running in it was great. Something right out of Hollywood. I love all the houses and small town life you see. You forget life can be laid back like that. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us tomorrow. Hope your dinner was good and see you tomorrow.

Very interesting. I've developed a new interest in the civil war. I'm in east Tennessee and recently found out there was a battle right here where our house is. We found an ax blade in a wooded area of our property that has been identified as a Union felling ax. I would have preferred Confederate since my ancestors fought for that side, but hey! Thanks for another great vlog!

The Union Army marched through a little strip of dirt road down behind property I own now called the old Gadsden Blountsville Road. In town we call it Possum Trot. There's only a section about a city block long that's dirt and left untouched. We found a Union Soldiers uniform button . Spooky it made me wonder if the rest of him wasn't down there too.
@mandevilla6477
@mandevilla6477 5 жыл бұрын
I've wondered about that too, because there's a farm about a quarter to half a mile from here where Union soldiers buried. If it weren't for the trees I could see it from my front window. Longstreet camped in Russellville/Morristown (Morristown is where I was born and lived my whole life until a few months ago) and marched here and met up with the Union and fought right through here. By the way, someone found a Confederate button around here somewhere and it was worth $4000. Maybe you should check on that.

Lancaster, Ohio! My mother in law and her siblings were born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio. During their first and only trip to the General William Tecumseh Sherman museum my wife, our sons, mother and father in law were ask to leave the museum. The reason was because our youngest son slipped away from the tour group, climbed onto General Sherman's bed and started his afternoon nap. At first everyone including the tour guide thought it was cute until my wife mentioned he should undergo a diaper change before he started taking his nap. My wife said the little old lady leading the tour group might have thought they were going to leave our son there on General Sherman's bed until they were finished at the museum.

It brings back a lot of memories, particularly of that mid-western feeling you get when returning. If you someday decide to investigate the history of the Civil War, the best place to start would be Ken Burns’ THE CIVIL WAR. In retrospect, there are a few inaccuracies in the various chapters, but it’s still the definitive documentary of the war. Even after all these years, it still gives me chills. As a history buff, you’re gonna love it! The voice of William T Sherman was provided by author, playwright and husband of Marilyn Monroe, Arthur Miller, who did a remarkable job in his narration. When I think of Sherman, I automatically think of Arthur Miller…

Great vlog today and so nice to be reminded of David Graf. An extra piece of history if anyone is interested in the trivia that fills my head: Richardsonian Romanesque was named after the architect Henry Hobson Richardson who is probably most famous for designing Boston's beautiful Trinity Church. Richardson also designed the Malden Public Library in Malden, MA (my hometown), also known as the Converse Memorial Library. He built the library in 1885 at the request of Elisha and Mary Converse, of Converse rubber (and later sneakers) fame, in remembrance of their son Frank, 17, who was killed during a bank robbery in Malden in 1863. The murderer was one Edward Green, Malden's postmaster (who had been recommended for the position by Elisha Converse, ironically) who robbed the bank to cover up the fact he'd been embezzling from the post office to live beyond his means. This was the first ever armed bank robbery in American history.
