It makes sense that there's more in halo 3 onwards cause their armour starts breaking off as they take damage and their back becomes more exposed and easier to damage (making them easier to fight as you go on)

I got a vid idea that I’m giving away for the holidays…. In halo reach, the elite armor bipeds that you spawn in forge will have weapons that match their armor. General looks like fuel rod Stealth looks like energy sword. Specialist looks like focus rifle. Ultra looks like concussion rifle. Zealot has needle rifle but field marshal would be a little better. Minor has plasma pistol but needler seems to match it more. The mcfarlane action figure had needler so maybe? The officer seems to only have objective items so it’s a mystery You could say they have a similar design philosophy but I’m somewhat convinced beyond that. Especially with the general and kinda the stealth with the curves and sharp edges on the helmet and shoulders.

Not necessarily. There are two instances of Lekgolo worms not in armor taking fairly stable forms. 1st: in one of the Halo 2 Anniversary terminals specifically one about the ancient arbiters, we can see the first iteration of the Mgalekgolo form (hunter pair) made mostly of worms and large rocks to help stabilize the form. 2nd: in Halo: Nightfall movie the Thanolekgolo worms hunt Locke and the other characters across the Halo shard and even mimic a human form and sound to lure two people to their deaths. If you visit halopedia they can give you visuals of what I'm describing.

I remember one time playing Halo 3 I shot off the Hunter hat/helmet and I was so ecstatic about it but wasn't ever able to recreate it I tried many times, I recall it very vividly where there's no texture and it's see through in this video it was dark and definitely not see through, now I'm doubting my memory after seeing this

The armor in Halo Reach and Halo 4 could not be more different. Also one of the biggest differences might be the sound. The Sound design in Halo 4 is horrendous.
