4:27 Saudi Arabia (sword), Kenya (spears), Oman (two swords and a dagger), Sri Lanka (sword) and Angola (machete) also have a weapon in its flag. Lol, I watched a lot of road races videos in "the Isle Of Man", also I knew how their flag looks like. I have read a book about one of those racers(in English and it was really hard for me as to non-native eng speaker). Right now I'm holding this book in my hands and it's called "Guy Martin - My Autobiography". I've even read about their flag and have a T-Shirt with the Isle Of Man flag😂. 10:05 Oh, I'm from Dnipro(the center of dnipropetrovsk oblast) I glad to see my oblast in this video! Interesting facts: Dnipro is also name of the largest river in Ukraine, which split the country in two parts. And my city was founded on this river. My city have the longest coastline in Europe. Dnipro was one of the largest industrial centers in USSR. Now, the second tour of local elections is going in Dnipro. Dnipropetrovsk oblast is the territory, where Zaporizhian Cossacks were living from 15 to 18 century. (This is the reason why a Cossack is represented on the flag)

I wasn't exactly thinking of Americans calling themselves "Slavs" online for the memes (Do they know what a "Slav" is?), but at that quote, I was still thinking of Russia's image in American culture! More specifically, the bears on Russian local and republican flags seem to be one small part of the whole "Russian Bear" thing, all of which combines to make the American tourist coming back from the Russian Federation claiming "There were bears on the streets!". My personal favorite flags are the ones of the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese prefectures, Bhutan, the one with the bear splitting the atom, South Africa, Seychelles, Oman, and possibly my favorite flag of all time is the Libyan flag. I absolutely love the color scheme and how simple it is. I'm glad most of them were covered in this video. Great job, as always.

There is also the historical Sardinian flag (from the Giudicato of Arborea) which is a tricolor black, white and red with an uprooted tree on the center of it. Here’s an idea for a flag contest: Design a new flag for any country you choose, but any symbolism (elements, colours etc.) used must be exclusively from things that have arisen during the last century. For instance, for my own country of Sweden one could design a flag around the IKEA assembly tool and/or something related to Minecraft.

The trinacria used to be a Normand symbol, which could better explain. The isle of Man, is a crown dependency and therefore not part of the UK. Flags with a map (aweful) are usually transitional flags imposed by the UN. Cambodia also had one after the Khmers Rouges

The flag’s images, colors, or patterns should relate to what it symbolizes. Use 2 or 3 Basic Colors. Limit the number of colors on the flag to three which contrast well and come from the standard color set. No Lettering or Seals. Never use writing of any kind or an organization’s seal. I know this is a bit old, but Saudi Arabi also has a weapon on their flag. Though, perhaps it's more of a symbolic weapon than something actually used in combat.
