I’ve been doing a lot of stat testing after the fm changes and the f15 literally out turns everything by holding s in rb controls. Though it cant do that in sim sas dampaning. So in rb its f15>jas39>f16 and in sim its jas39>f15>f16

Don't know man. I really don't feel the nerf in dogfights that bad. I do notice the difference in drag. You can no longer rip your wings off in level flight. Before the nerf you could hit 1500 on the deck but your wings wouldnt let you. Now you can cruise at 1450 but not any faster.

I don't play Sweden but this actually made me feel bad for them. They got a good jet and gaijin had to nerf it right after release. Of course the 100% legitimate REEEAAALL reason that it got nerfed was that gripen players killed too many flankers. Can't have that

@@GeneralLee2000 I mean come on man you have seen the documents with multiple legit sources (not even the SA Armscor stuff that yourself and your DC servers loved parading around) that showed its actual performance being sent to you by CC's and even the threads you were active on the forums confirming its prior performance basing on the multitude of legitimate sources posted on those threads, I am guessing that is why you say not to look into it? Don't really want people getting its fairly realistic FM back ? People should do legitimate and proper research on vehicles that are not just the gripen and not have people like MIG23M make up false bug reports so things get nerfed.

Tbf though, Gajin is and has always and will countinue to stretch the G pulls on all aircraft in the game, in real life you would almost never see a fighter pulling more than max 10 G’s for a split second before it settles into 8 G’s. Something like that ig. In the game the F16 can pull 12 for so long 🤣

Best part is if you look at the issues page, it was brought up by a Russian Main named MiG_23M. The guy does nothing but bitch about it. Not only that but someone brought up the fact that realistically speaking the maneuverability is probably close to how it was originally but because the numbers on it are classified, it was nerfed. The (laser guided) GBU's have two limitations. A. They have a limited FOV to see the laser, so you can't drop it anywhere and then it'll magically find and follow the laser. B. They just received a nerf and will begin to see the laser at around 3 to 3.5km or so. Solution: Try to use the ccrp to drop the bombs reasonably close to where the target is or will be, once the bomb gets in range it'll see the laser in front of it and guide.

Laser guided bombs are buggy if you use mavericks. You need to reset the laser or something if you switch to mavs and then back to bombs.

7:20 laser guided bombs will only start tracking when they get within 5 (pretty sure its 5) km from the laser. so basically they will fly like a dumb bomb towards where the ccip was until they get within range of the target, then they track. hopefully that makes sense

Did a bunch of 1v1s yesterday with the F-15A, F-16C and F-16A against the Gripen, with the F-15A and F-16C it's really about who gets the better first turn. If you have position you most likely just win. The F-15A performs a bit better than the F-16C imo, as the very low speed handling of the F-16C isn't as good. The F-16A however just wins, it's basically the F-16C except you pull 2Gs more at the sweet spots and you get better low speed handling too. Major difference tho is that the F-15A and F-16C (A probably too) can just extend from the Gripen if they have to, from where they can start winning the energy game back. So they don't quite necessarily beat the Gripen in its own game (unlike the F-16A), but if you start extending etc you will win. Oh well...

Damage models are scuffed right now, all guns and missiles. Worse than in the base major update. Every plane now feels as strong as the pre patch F-5 which just did not ever explode, disintegrate or get a fatal fire. It’s more like DCS at the moment in terms of weapon pK on hit.

Well exept we do have chart with WT sustained turns and gripen wins exept high speeds. It absolutely shits on F16C at low speed. You can afford to run low fuel in gripen, you cant in F16. Where you can confortably dogfight in gripen with like 6-7 mins of fuel with more than enough to win and RTB, you have to RTB with F16C so almost every time, you have lower fuel state and even on same fuels, its beating 16C. 30 mins fuel F16C does 14.53°/s STR at 200kts IAS, Gripen does 16.81. Only place where its comparable is 350 knots IAS and F16 loses speed way faster while having worse acceleration and you need to loosen the turn more in F16 to accelerate. In 1 turn, You are at speeds where gripen shits on everything ingame currently. In a fact, F16C loses to F15A in STR at low speeds. Gripen rules low speed sustain and ITR across the board exept few speeds where F16A gets broken FM and pulls 35°/s. Properly tested numbers are actually saying opposite to what you say and there are barely any sustained turn fights at high speed, it always starts at ITR where gripen wins and apparently still lacks some and ends up on lowest possible STR speeds where gripen beats all opposition at top tier currently.

They "buffed" mavs, that is cap, I dropped one top down from my GR7 onto a Tor M1 and all I got was a hit. Not even a crib let alone a kill. So I am sorry but I hard disagree they are next to useless. Especially when running them alongside GBUs increases the chances that cycling through the views to check the laser for the GBU is tracking on your flight outward, will more often than not just muck up the laser and cause a wasted bomb

the flight control sytem limits the gripen to ~26° of AoA. IRL it did reach like over 90° aoa but that was because it crashed and the fcs couldnt keep up anymore lmao. the "different stages" are for G pull(9g vs 12G) not AoA.

Everytime you complain about losing speed you have your afterburner turned off.... Its a delta. Its supposed to loose speed like crazy, pulling high aoa. But with the afterburner on it holds its speed very good still. TWR is almost the same as the Mirage 4000. Better than any of the F16s.

Come in from an off angle where no one else is. Pretty easy. It's really not a hard concept. Doesn't always work perfectly but that goes for everything.
