Generating LODs in Second Life

Thank you, this was great. I've always known the generated LODs are not good, but didn't know what to do about that. Now I can see how you can experiment with the settings. I'm looking forward to your next video on making LODs. I have an information gap between creating a model in Blender, and actually making it usable for SL. Thanks again.

I've been a digital artist, 3D model artist and sculptor, texture artist and animator, using said skills to work with games engines (including Halo CE engine, Source, Unreal 3, Unreal 4 and Unity), for 19 years. I also do a lot of mechanical engineering. Making mesh for Second Life, to me, is as easy as breathing! BOOM!

:O seems not only i use this plane low lod idea haha. though ive took the idea from other game models, yet im not using it much though, mostly on models which pretty much dont need any detailed texture just repeated ones so im rather curious how you do those LOD models over the existing UV map and texture layout, cant wait the next video :)

Sorry, been too busy to finish the series on LODs. I'll try to get this last video out soon. It's complex tho, and I have to kind of plan the video out with notes, or I'll likely forget some key part, or info.
