For 14, Rizz is actually used as an abbreviation for "charisma", and it can also mean to charm or dazzle someone with looks or speech. Many would say things like, "Hey, I'm going to rizz her up, so we can go on a date." "I'm going to use my rizz to get the teacher to give us extra points. "

This. I wonder whether British slang might differ from the US, but overseas it is definitely said to be abbreviation of "charisma": kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3uro5J4ibh7a5o

@@myfonjWe say rizz for charisma in the UK too, very familiar with this one, but it feels more current than most of the words on this list

"Hey my gorgeous teacher Leila, it was so great seeing you back on the screen today😮🤗! I really enjoyed your take on Gen Z slang-your humor and 'I'm old' comments totally made my day! You've been missed, and it's always a treat to catch up with you and Sabrah . I’ve always admired how easy it is to understand your lessons, and your expressions are truly one-of-a-kind. I’ve never seen such great expressions as yours and Sabrah’s! Hope you get some well-deserved rest after all the fun. Wishing you a peaceful night and looking forward to more of your awesome lessons!" Hugs.xoxoxo Gams ❤️

I think rizz actually means something like game like. She has rizz. You can also say "to rizz someone up" which would be "chat someone up". Let me know if I am wrong. I'm not a gen-Z.

W rizz is game, L rizz is the opposite

The word 'shook', used in this way, though, doesn't seem that new, at least in American English: back in the day, after all, Elvis Presley had quite a big hit with the song 'All shook up'.
@bobbyg1068Ай бұрын
Definitely an American import

Hello Sabrah, pardon me i may have misspelled your first name, of course we are all getting older , i am à French life long learner of English, you seemed bewidered with very young people's language , i can understand that considering i am largely older than you ! But let me tell you your work is always of excellent quality (as is Leila's).you are absolutely right language involves continually and certainly always by the action of the youth.Meanwhile yesterday i heard you explaining the idiom "neither rhyme nor reason " you said it came from Shakespeare, which prooves there are links from à time ago.Best regards.Serge from France.

You're flexing your arm to show your muscle (if you have any😂). So, it does make sense when you use "flex" to refer to showing off or boasting about something.

The wheel is turning Leila, you're getting old, you're a boomer now who's -completely- halfway;-) disconnected; that's just the way it is. ;-) ... Obviously, you're not alone; I can relate. We're Generation Y or even X, heirs to the slang of the 70s and 80s. What do you expect! ...you can't be and have been ... In addition to the immense pleasure of finding you again (a surprise as wonderful as it was unexpected, I must say), I adored the lesson and this natural and spontaneous side that I love! 👏👏🙏. You should start a Vlog, would be great! A thousand thank yous, Leila! Bisous my lovely 🥰🌹🌹❤❤

I'm pretty sure "gassed" is a very old term, like from the '50s. I think it's just come back into use by Gen Z.

I think wet actually comes from the older sense of drip, ironically, whereas drip in its new sense comes from referring to diamond accessories as ice Some of these are really millennial slang, people have been saying safe and bruv for decades
