The recipient is ultimately the person who will suffer the most. Even if it’s hard for you to break up with someone remember: When somebody leaves, the person who stays will suffer the most. It’s the honorable way to end the relationship.

I kind of think it depends. I know why breaking up face-to-face is important, but it can also be difficult to properly articulate your thoughts and feelings in person. With text you can take as much time as you need to get your thoughts in order the wording right, to pour your heart out in a proper way. Just look at the oldest break-up in this video. It was the equivalent of breaking up through text but it was still powerful.

Amaya McMillan well cheesy enough it really does just take time. Distance yourself for sure. Don’t text him every day or hang out with him. You need to make sure you’re okay before ANYTHING else. Anytime you feel an emotion, allow yourself to feel it. But don’t make yourself sad either, listen to happy songs, dance, hangout with friends, spend time with family, and most importantly learn to love yourself and want to be with you.
