So, phasma is not trully loyal to the first order. She just like the hardware. That gives some explanation of how easy it was to convince her to shut down the shields on starkiller base. It was just another way to survive.

Hmm with no external light sources (eg stars) in deep space sure, no light to reflect = “invisible”. But any light would be very easily reflected. What you really want is something with a very matte black finish to absorb as much light as possible (like vantablack) which will work well in most situations except against a light background. But against a light background most things are more easily visible anyway.

Good to know there's novels & comics that already some parts from the Sequels better. Maybe the people behind Mandalorian & Boba Fett wouldnt have to reboot Sequels as much as I thought. Sure, some things would have to change to fit Grogu in, but Phasma wouldnt have to be changed. Just use her novels & comics, which are Disney canon. So, no Boba Fett situation when EU stuff becomes canon again. I'll admit though, it sucks a little bit that she isnt Mandalorian & her armor isnt Beskar steel. I thought it'd be cool if a Sequel rebooted Phasma was a Mandalorian that Moff Gideon kidnapped, trained her himself to be a high rank First Order Stormtrooper, and to add more insult to injury to the Mandalorians, give her Beskar armor & a spear. And said armor would be the answer to how she survived the Star Destroyer's destruction in Ep8(but barely & receive cybernetics), and she can be Finn's nemesis.

Can you do a follow up on why she was _allowed_ to keep/wear that armor? What made her special to be able to wear different armor than everyone else when the Empire/First Order are very strict about appearances. Was she a particular rank? Was it some form of nepotism? Or does it not matter as long as it meets requirements of design, and strength because that could make sense. Anyway, great video. Also like many other great things from the Sequel Trilogy, she was thrown out like the Fuckin garbage literally in The Force Awakens and literally again, in the sense of EVERYTHING, was thrown out like Fuckin garbage in The Last Jedi. Everything that was Fuckin awesome that we couldn't wait to see more of. To learn more about this new mythology in the Mysteries that came with Episode VII, like Luke for instance. They tried to force a Boba Fett type character without realizing that kind of popularity is hard to force. Seriously Boba's (and to a lesser extent Jango's) popularity both baffles me and makes complete sense. Why's he popular? Because he's awesome. Why's he awesome? I don't know but he has a jetpack, a memorable death, and didn't take shit from anybody (seriously he tells Vader he wants Han alive and doesn't get murdered for it). His gear is unique, he's a seperate entity from the Empire, and he isn't afraid to jetpack around a firefight and shoot at a freaking Jedi. Phasma is just wearing shiny stormtrooper armor. She's just a fancy stormtrooper. She gets stuffed into a trash compactor and dies of a broken he- I mean getting knocked off a catwalk into a fire or something really anticlimactic.

Her character is a symptom of the disease that plague the world building and storytelling of the sequel trilogy. A character obsessed with order and uniformity and encouraged the purging of everyone who didn’t conform without hesitation.... yet she wears an armor that screams individuality. You have a legion of troopers programmed to not hesitate to kill anyone within their ranks who deviated from the mould.
