Love this! I am looking at using a inverter style “suitcase” style generator when out on our boat and would like something like this! I want to be able to use all of our appliances/devices hooked up to the house bank of batteries on the boat (3 deep cycle and one general purpose starting battery....all deep cycle) and only have the generator kick on AUTOMATICALLY when the batteries drop to a certain predefined programmable level then have the device automatically shut down the generator when the bank of batteries are sufficiently charged and then reset to start the process all over again when needed. Also would like to be able to remotely have the generator start and stay running if need be too, so if we wanted to have the air conditioner run and would need the generator running to do so! Would this device handle all I’ve described above?

What are you using for controllers. Uno Yun? Im working on a full auto system as well and ultimately will have a cell app for it. But have not got that far in my coding experience. But my system is a little more than this, as it is a fully integrated woodgas system. So there is the full machine start up involved and then firing up the engine and then shutting down properly. For the engine start re attempt how are you detecting if it failed? Im guessing you are reading the charge state? My systems will output in AC so its a little more complicated. So was planning on wire wrapping a spark plug wire for input. Start attempt #1 would then write a variable and then we check for signal. If not true we then attempt Start attempt #2 and write a new variable and check input and so on. I need a voltage divider for 60 volts to 5 volt logic. Any idea where to find one or build it. Anyways nice system:) Cheers!

Excellent! Just use 200k and 10k as a voltage divider. We are using Particle boards as they have wifi antennas but they have 3.3v logic instead of 5v. You could access the 12v 8amp charging coil as a signal to trigger engine running status. Looks like you're on the track! Good luck with your project ;)

i've got a system with 3x 100ah batteries that charge off solar but in winter there isn't enough sun to keep them fully charged. they run motion activated security cameras through an inverter that takes the 12vDV up to mains voltage. total current draw is about 4amps. looking to install an auto start gen there to keep the batteries charged in winter without having to start a gen there every day. gen would need to start when batteries are low and shut off when they are at the desired voltage. wondering if you have a controller that would do this that i could purchase. i would be using a small diesel engine so i don't need to do anything with choke. hopefully you can help

Mirriulah Water Dog if you can use a multimeter and basic tools like screw drivers and wire cutters then you can install it. Some basic knowledge of electrical connections are necessary.

Sure can Alex. Our V2 AutoGen controllers can be customised to suit different scenarios, just like yours. If equipped with a manual choke, you will also require the choke servo.
