Great video! Just a question my governor seems stuck and I don't want to open the engine. Can I just condemn the governor lever, take it off and just put something in the throttle plastic for it to maintain a desired rpm? Thanks

@@vonvoyage14 if it got stuck loose the governor lever and put oil and turn it with plier to make it free. Then set the governor race. I have done a video on how to set a governor race.

In the case of low voltage and u try increase voltage vai adjustment place of governor and carburetor as well and its not increased could the fault still be same as what u just did now?

The function of the washer is to prevent the cap from eating up because most are made with plastic.

So my generator is works normally for about half an hour when i turn it on then it suddenly speeds up and start making a lot of noise while the power drop down nd it does that fr about 20 seconds and it gets back to normal again and it still does the same thing in about 30 mins(sometimes more than that)....what do i do?

Firstly I need to ask this question.. did you put on any appliance that is heavy like freezer or pumping machine.. if no . Check the speed control at the carburetor and Set the governor race .

Hi Jay. I've just rebuild a Honda GX200 engine copy generator and it did the same where as before it didn't rev like that. I now know from this vid (I looked at other vids before I watched this) what might have fallen out when rebuilding it. Thank you.

@@jaywealthmechanics9285 I stuck a camera in it and saw the plastic cap, so I have to strip it down AGAIN to fit it back in. It might be damaged as I ran the engine to check a few things and I now know what I heard was probably the plastic cap being hit by the oil sprayer hook on the crankshaft.
