hi, thanks for the video. if you would fix the broken wire( join the two ends maybe by soldering them), will the issue not be fixed?

Hi! Thanks for watching the video. Yes, the issue will be fixed by soldering the wire.

If you didnt have the money for a new generator, there is plenty of copper wire wound around the terminal, why couldnt you re-solder the connection. At this point there is nothing to lose. Great video.

Thank you for your comment and for watching my video. I totally agree with you, there is nothing to lose and I told the owner that re-soldering the connection was an option. I fix generators as part of my professional business and I don’t like putting my business name on the line by doing quick patch ups or “temporary fixes” as first option. I prefer repairing the generator the right way, which in this case would be replacing the generator head.

Good video and diagnostic, but why didn’t you solder the wire back on the terminal.they were more than enough wire that you could have unwrapped and solder back on the terminal.

Thank you for watching my video. I gave the owner the different options to fix it, he decided to solder it back on the terminal weeks later.
