This is something I think about when pondering (or debating) freewill. IMO humankind has always ascribed the supernatural to processes that were incapable of being understood and cognition is no exception. But I still struggle with the reality of transitioning to the 'knowledge' of future states from purely reactionary neurophysiology. Probably just my free will bias that might be dispelled by the new imagining techniques you call for. Good video.

If you are looking in the brain for emotion, you will not find it. All that's there are certain processes which may correlate to emotions. Emotions are observable in autonomic reactions with respect to the environment. Autonomic function is conserved in all organisms so it doesn't rely on nervous tissue. Perhaps you should read the one psychologist whose books were burned, you know, the orgone guy? Or do you think they burned his books because they wanted you to focus on the important stuff, on picking through brain cells looking for the consciousness ganglion? Good luck with that!
