GENESIS 1/5 SCALE WHEEL AND TYRE SYSTEM REVEAL!

We have been teasing photos and snippets of info for a few months now but its time to take a close up look at our upcoming "Foam-Less" Billet Wheels for 5th scale vehicles!
A big thanks to John at Detroit Performance RC for supporting/contributing throughout the design and testing phases. Plus of course taking the time to record this video while im busy.
This has been a huge learning curve for me, RC engine manufacture comes totally natural as ive grown up around two strokes and the motorsport industry. But this is the first attempt at any injection and compression moulding!
I hope you like the concept we have gone for with this new wheels, that are very unique and no doubt will divide opinions. But over time i believe their performance, affordability and reliability will win many of you over.

cant find any good video about how they perform as a tire. Does the car bounce more or not and all that kind of information related to the artical it self. They do look realy awesome! And just for show i would like them. But for riding on diffrent kind of situations....

It's a great concept but there is no curvature to the tread whatsoever, will be interesting to see how well it conforms to the ground especially on hard or off camber corners. Also interested in the damping characteristics of the tyre tread itself due to lack of foams. Those standard wheels are a ridiculous weight though, they weigh the same as one of the wheels on my enduro mountain bike without tyre and they are rated for downhill abuse.

Yeah as we mentioned in the video I have that certain types of users will find them not suitable for that application. But we have been using 100% flat tread BRP wheels for years no issue with the profile. Only foams blowing.

Yep. That’s the goal of them. Ultra durable for hardcore bashing. Also we will have a tread pattern and compound for every surface once we are fully up and running.

If you mean the rubber tyre band from the plastic wheel rim, then no you cant they are perma bonded. But also you dont need to? We sell ready to fit glued assemblies as spare parts.
