Adaptation. Mew2King's dash attack approaches got more desperate as Armada responded better to them and was more prepared, and he's really good at making it seem like hitting him is a bad idea. Mew2King started fishing more as victory got close.

[Match Spoilers below] I'm gonna go against the grain here...this set didn't irritate me as much as I thought it would. First of all, it's hard to be mad at a Peach doing well compared to like, Fox player #234082. Second, I think there's something to the "plot armor" theory but I honestly didn't see the systematic outplaying by M2K that people were talking about, at least not to the point where I feel like a deserved victory was cheesed away from him by Peach RNG. Early in the set yeah, M2K was playing surgical, but as the set wore on it seemed like he became impatient or at least lost some of the sheen from his play that he had in games 1-3. Armada was in in mentally to the end, and honestly I think he started outplaying M2K in games 3-5 just as much as M2K was in games 1-3. I don't really see much reason to be angry except for the whole "Armada wins again zzz." This was a great set and both players put on a show.

But both G3 and G4 were very close to stopping this tradition with for instance this set where Armada was almost send to losers finals. Hence why people say Armada and Mango have plot armor to both make it into Grand Finals.
