At least with Gabriel on The Lamb Tour, you might be right. But I loved the version they did during the Trick of the Tail Tour with Collins on vocals and the fantastic cue from "It" into "Watcher of the skies". 🙂

@@DML1978 Don't get me wrong, I like what they did with "Watcher." But the studio cut is such an _odd_ track to begin with, and the thing that really makes it is Phil's playing, something that was never quite the same live.

All previous comments are correct, but I saw Steve Hackett do this last night with his vocalist Nad, and it was better than the album version. He really was in his element and brought it to life.

I was there. We were quite happy to have Genesis within driving distance of Tampa. Good staging, I remember. After the concert we went to the loading dock area and got everyone's autograph but Peter's, who was no where to be found.
