Genesis In Concert 1974 Selling England tour 40th Anniversary 2DVD collector's item set.
The Cinema Show reconstructed with recorded live at Montreal Quebec, Canada April 20th, 1974. For years a good portion of the first part was missing in Gabriel-era videos but for this show I reconstructed it using footage from other venues during the same tour and I hope that I've captured the look and feel of what an entire Cinema Show performance must've looked like.
Similar to what we did with the Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and with 2014 being the 40th anniversary of Selling England By The Pound we've patched all the missing parts of the remastered version of the Montreal 1974 footage with scenes from short amateur & pro-shot video clips of shows filmed in other parts of the world to make the very first entire Selling England by the Pound concert with all songs in full. Again I think you'll enjoy the results.
DVD 1 (56:46)
1. CHOM-FM Radio Intro/Watcher Of The Skies
2. Dancing With The Moonlit Knight
3. The Cinema Show
4. I Know What I Like
5. Firth Of Fifth
6. The Musical Box
DVD 2 (42:02)
1. More Fool Me
2. The Battle Of Epping Forest
3. Supper's Ready
4. CHOM-FM Radio Sign Off
bonus footage includes video from various cities during the 1974 portion of the Selling England By The Pound Tour
All songs from these albums available at your local record store or online:

Sadly lots of drummers don't get his brilliance. He plays his own style and is not your prototypical studio style drummer. VERY creative. Neil Peart however called his drumming on SEBTP "master class drumming", so he gets it.

And as usual, Tony tried to keep Peter from singing during his "instrumental" parts. However, Peter, as usual, nailed Apocalypse 9/8 and created the perfect ending to the song. Peter did the same with Cinema, Firth and Battle of Epping Forest. And Tony always said Peter was right to force the issue.

There are numerous drummers who can replicate Collins Ear Candy. The thing about Phil is that he invented this particular Ear Candy. Palmer comes in 2nd. Steve Gad also tied for second. Cobham, Williams and the other jazz guys also know a lot about Ear Candy.

Like hearing 'Close to the Edge' for the first time, or 'The Endless Enigma, Fugue...' it was amazing! l'm SO grateful for those 3 titan bands. :D

Beautiful....it's amazing what we can see nowadays that was so incredible. I had no idea what early Genesis looked like in concert, especially Peter Gabriel and just how creatively he appeared as well as sang. But they were all talented and produced an iconic sound of progressive rock. So sad that today there seems so much less creativity in popular music.

Recuerdo que hace poco leí que era uno de los favoritos de Gustavo Cerati (QEPD) cuando era joven. ¡ Y cómo no iba a serlo ! Una composición mayor ! La escuché por primera vez a los 17 años y hoy tengo 58, pero como el buen vino cobra cada vez más vida con el tiempo.

I don't agree. Gabriel was just so different to the rest of the band and was - if you believe what they have said since - basically getting on their nerves. His weird costumes and pertormances were already so extreme that everyone was worried what he would do next, and they would have gone downhill if they had become a studio band without touring. I think Genesis were doomed and when Phil took over there was nowhere to go but downhill. In my opinion, Wind and Wuthering was a great album, Then there Were Three was a good album, and the rest is history.

@@Nelson Robert Willis - I suppose to be more correct I should have said when Phil took over the job of singer (and I do realise he had already sung quite a number of Genesis songs) but you can't seriously suggest that anyone either than Phil was in charge after Peter had left. I doubt that we could ever agree but even on Wind and Wuthering, which is an album I highly rate, it is clear that Phil is changing the band into a pop band.

Not only that, but he's seamlessly accommodating Tony rushing the fast runs at times, not only keeping it all together but holding the groove. Absolutely incredible.

First off I'd like to state Genesis has been my favorite band since 1973, that said if the is a representation of the 2DVD set it's practically unwatchable. Is the youtube video an actual clip from the DVD? Some of the worst quality video footage I've seen of Genesis. Please respond someone. The first time I heard Genesis was in a record store they were playing Genesis Live album I immediately was hooked it was the best sounding "live" album I ever heard and was blown away when I was told it was a 'live' recording. Genesis was great live I only saw them after PG left Seconds Out tour. Anyway I think if you want more Genesis instead of this DVD set (if it's as bad as on this video) I suggest you get Genesis Archive 1967-75 CD Box Set. The AUDIO quality is superb The Whole Lamb Lies Down LIVE Concert 2cd's along with another "Live" cd's containing Dancing with the Moonlit Knight, Firth of Fifth,More Fool Me, SUPPERS READY, I Know What I Like, Stagnation, SO If you want GENESIS LIVE this is it in AUDIO...just close your eyes and imagine.

Thanks Stevie, actually the whole song is the same as the album version. It's simply The Cinema Show performed live.

I liked all albums up to IT then I think it did go much too far the pop way, home by the sea is a fantastic track from the 80s, Selling England was their high point for me, I agree with Hacketts influence though
