Not a lot of info on this online, so my first day impressions: nice size; good power cord; TV coaxial type antenna socket is a bit iffy; quite fussy room placement to pick up FM; sounds very clear; quite a digital sound; bright but not too bright sound (but red is bright gloss); bass & treble is unbalanced, need to have close to high base settings, and close to neutral treble settings; to hear middle tones properly, have to increase treble to annoying levels; round bulge on speaker grill is probably just for looks; sound stage is forward sounding, maybe only grill bulge disperses sound, but front facing sound stage is good for sole listener; about 5m away is a good sweet spot, can still hear stereo balance for a small unit; not really for HiFi listening nor for loud bites, is just a modern small sized radio for convenience listening to replace old school table top radio. Only 6 preset radio buttons. Full functionality probably relies on remote; nice to have the tone controls to adjust to different stations. Don’t pay full price. Better to pay less than half RRP. It’s really just a morning / background radio.

...About 6 weeks in, impressions are much more favourable. Need to say, have only listened to FM, not DAB or Bluetooth (whatever). Volume goes up to 100. Typically, I use it as a background radio at volume 12. Sometimes will increase volume to 24, or 36. Does require a little while to warm up. Felt like blasting it this evening. Played Chemical Brothers type music, on a station with good reception. Slowly increased volume to 66. Was expecting distortion and sound to clip. But fidelity was still strong: as you increase the volume different layers of sound open up. A bit over 4m away no need to play louder, but was able to really enjoy the different levels of sound. None of the unbalanced issues noticed at low volumes. Need to reiterate the narrow cone sound stage is really good when you share the house and do not want to annoy housemates in other rooms. They almost need to be in front of it to realise how loud it is... Needed to upstate impressions as I was a little hard on it early on. It’s a bit of a contradiction that a small unit needs to be played at elevated volumes to be enjoyed. The bass is quite artificial, but you get by as it’s not annoyingly artificial. Being small, It sounds better when the temperature is a bit cooler I.e., below 17C. I’m not inclined to play it loud, but the HiFi store often were happy to have it on maybe close to 50% all day. So maybe that’s how it was set up to sound it’s best. Thus detracting away from most of my former criticisms. I think the most outstanding specification is it has 4 amps; one for each driver.

Who can tell me how to open the Geneva worldradio so I can inspect why it will not start?

I own the Geneva M and Geneva S. The Geneva shown here is the Geneva Model S. The presentation of the product is very weak and superficial. The sound played here in this video is a terrible cheap clatter and doen´t corrospondends to the Geneva sound.
