I think it's surprising that Genie doesn't realize we always felt like that when she was treated differently than Geary. When she was way too easily dismissed. Every single time! Its just that it was much easier to organize and connect through social media to launch a joint protest. Besides having to thank Genie for giving us decades of amazing entertainment, now, many of us have to thank her for providing us new, real friends. The #GenieIsGH crowd is truly a wonderful group of people! It's very interesting the kind of people who adore Laura and immensely appreciate Genie for bringing her to us. But truthfully Genie if you're not happy walk! All we want is for you to get the appreciation you deserve.... Commensurate to the men that have walked the path you have for #GH! #TimesUp! yes to everything you said. Because of twitter & other social media, her Fans were visible to everyone. Before, you never knew if letters, phone calls, emails were seen. sussezq she was probably surprised at how many people came to Rowley for her; to be honest, Laura hasn’t had a very big story in quite some time, so I’m sure she thought that maybe, she wouldn’t get such an outpouring of love as she had in the past. You probably figured that a lot of people who are watching GH now, really didn’t know who Laura Spencer is or was.

I always thought many star's had their FB, twitter, and YT accounts somewhat managed by an admin. But, to know that some stars take time to check out what's being said on social media is an honest commitment to the fans. We fans take some time out of our busy lives to enjoy the entertainment given to us. In turn, we express love and gratitude to those who have given us some sort of connection outside of this crazy world. It is cool that Miss Francis is shocked we care about her more than she realized, but her FB, twitter, and YT fans (such as sussezq, Genie Fans, Rose Kelly, and more that I recognize here) have always been around - we just have more venues to express that love! Genie may be the thing that finally gets me to get a Twitter account. I'm not shocked she has so many fans. Just shocked TPTB have been so deaf all these years. I want that leading actress Emmy for her 7 times over. NO ONE deserves it more. Genie has opened her heart and bled for the audience for over 30 years. Give her her due.

Anthony Geary has earned his retirement. And although I’m a huge fan, I would prefer for Luke to leave PC rather than not be with Laura. I could never accept Luke with Tracy. L & L will always belong together

Re Laura and Valentin, I wish the writers would remember that he didn't just shoot (kill) Nic, but in trying to shoot Laura he shot Kevin. Laura saved Kevin's life by removing the bullet. The reasons to hate Valentin are more than killing Nicolas.

I'm glad Genie thought the Cassadine story was over the top because it was but it was still fun. After the Frank Smith storyline and everything before got us all hooked and Laura is a very endearing character. More so than Luke. GH never put the Cassadine thing to rest. There's always a Cassadine lurking in the shadows. Then we find out Laura was held captive on Cassadine island and forced to make babies with all the Cassadine brothers. Horrible writing and what destruction of a beautiful character

Everytime Genie left General Hospital so did I. When Tony left so did I. They should have walked off into the sunset together. There are some couples you don't mess with. I recall another soap that had a great couple (No couple could touch L&L of course) was it Patches and Kala? I know later the guy who played Patches on whatever soap it was, later played a Casadine years later when they drugged Luke (2002?). What couple and soap am I thinking of?

My husband laughs at me, as I watch all the old L&L super couple years. I still remember the day of the wedding I had to work. I brought a Blk & Wht tv to work and let my boss know that for the next 2 days I would NOT be working between 2:45 and 4:10!!! On my way to work that morning in west palm bch Fl I was amazed at all the store fronts large an small who had changed there store signs. 3mile drive and everywhere store marques were announcing Congratulations Luke and Laura, we love you L&L, Today is the DAY, Luke & Laura forever! Oh man it was insanity! I had 18 wheelers lined up down port rd and parked to watch the wedding. I ran a truck stop. YES, even truck drivers were sucked in! Oh the craziness of it all and the fun!

I was so angry when they abruptly shuffled her off canvas to be with Spencer and his two broken legs. It came out of no where. I’m super happy that she came back because I love the Laura character. However, if Genie had told GH to fuck off I wouldn’t have been mad at her. She has been mistreated by almost if not every GH “PTB” set over the years. I hope these people don’t hurt her again.

My main complaint with this story is having Carly involved. I don’t understand the need for this character to constantly be on the front burner. Let Laura figure it out herself. She’s a smart woman.

I hope someday that the show will bring back Stefan Cassadine played by Stephen Nichols. Stefan seemed to bring out the passionate side of Laura. Their relationship was indeed passionate, complicated and totally dynamic. Even if they weren't paired, I still would love for Stephen to return. Even to see them interact together would be exciting.
