I do have this one now since it came out, it's a beast and does its job good. In the beginning i had one issue, which was a shot in a demolition, lots of dust and bit of rain. The tracking plate I have did catch too much dust and did get stuck, which caused some errors on the Genie One and did crack the motors in it. Anyway, luckely i do have a good dealer for my gear and thx to garranty i received a new one. There is just one thing that i miss on this Genie-one. On the old Genie there was an option to program it and start shooting on an hour that you setup, so you could leave this machine alone starting at that progammed moment to start shooting. So far i did not find that option back in the Genie One, or do I overlook something? Oh yeah that tracking plate was cleaned out by myself, and i did use WD40 on it which solved the problem, still using the plate from the old Genie. Maybe this is an idea to add oil and spray in the Syrp section. ;-)

Since the last update, I have had the problem in my Syrp One in connection with the Pan-u Tiltbracket that the red display in the app for video runs much faster than the movement on the slider. This ends the pan and tilt settings earlier so that I can only use the Syrp one to a limited extent at the moment. A user of my channel has the same problem. Is there a new update to fix the bug as soon as possible?

Hey there, you can use the Genie Mini together with the Genie ONE yes. The two devices will sync up and connect via the Syrp APP.

Whilte it's great that Syrp is continuing to push out hardware for people to buy, it would be nice if you had your software people actually work on features that you promised when you released the Geni 2 over 2 years ago. Or, if you can't make good on those promises, offer a buy back.

Will this be any better than the Syrp Linear when using it on the slingshot as the linear is rubbish, I’ve had major issues 3x using it. I’m actually still waiting on a reply from Syrp after I messaged them almost 3 months ago as it wasn’t moving along the rope. How long will the battery last in the Genie One?

@amacmedia i'm sorry to hear you've been waiting for so long for support, this should not be the case! Have you spoke directly to Alex? The Genie One battery lasts 5 hours for video and 48 hours for timelapse.

Syrp thanks, I last heard vishwa was looking into it but if not heard anything back, it was to be an 8hr shoot over 80m but my linear(2nd one as the first also didn’t work with the slingshot) only moved 0.5m in an hour. Is the genie one better than the linear for slingshot use?

I love your product but there an issue for me. The lack of compatibility with cameras. My Ronin SC can manage my Canon M50 (using usb-c to micro usb) while my Pan and Tilt can't. Will it be the same with this one ?

Hi Nelson, yes triggering through USB-C will be supported eventually, we are quite far down development with this. It will also be possible on all of our products with USB-C (Genie MIni II, Genie II Linear / Pan Tilt etc)
