Speaking of motion tools, you wouldn’t be able to advise on equipment that can handle medium format/heavier equipment, would you? For instance, a slider that can handle vertical movement and/or a device I can use to tilt a 7lb/3.2kg load?
@storysupport4 жыл бұрын
When it comes to your first question as you stated in the beginning of the video, how is it traveling with ALL of the stuff you used? The slider and tripods need to go as well. Don’t overlook that part. If you’ve shared something about that in a past video, I’ll be happy to check out any links that you can share. * side note: I hope AirBnB sponsors you as well or that you otherwise have a plan to benefit from the free advertising that you’re giving.

So ... Genie ONE versus Genie Linear II ?? That would be a great video to do ....

Nice review and great shots Emeric, well done! Now that you are syrp's ambassador I want to make a comment and I wish you can have some info to share with us. I am syrp equipment owner some years now and I still wait for the firmware update of genie ii linear for auto bulb ramping. It was advertised from syrp as a future update before 2 years and when I asked them about it they replied that it would be integrated in march of 2019. Almost 1 year and half later nothing has been done about that. Wish you can share some info with us.

Why can your mobile phone control the camera? Is it supported by third party hardware devices? Or is it supported by syrp

Great Emeric! I Have Genie V1 (first model..it work standalone without app)... It's very performig..very robust.. the only flaw on first model (genie V1) does not work in bulb ramping with qrlsdashboard

I need that bluetooth solution.
@silencenhikes66924 жыл бұрын
I need one of those. Is it light enough for a hike? Not the slider of course.
@EmericTimelapse4 жыл бұрын
Yes it would easily fit in any camera bag and about the weight of a camera with a lens on.

I really wish someone would do a good tutorial on connecting Mini or Mini2 with Timelapse+ View to Sony a7riii, I’ve tried several times with no luck!

I will look into it!

Well, I am not a Sony user but I use Nikon + syrp + view. You have to set the motion and interval controlled by syrp app and the view only control the exposure ramping. Set view on external aux option, then first start the timelapse from syrp app and then from view. That way you miss the interval ramping from view but it's the only way to have both systems work together. Hope it helps

Hey Emeric, I've spent lots of time trying to get my brand new syrp genie one to connect to an iphone(six different phones and 2 ipads actually) and it keeps failing the required update. Can I download the FW and install it manually or something? Would love any help as I've bought this for a client and I need it to work for them but sadly the product is completely unusable out of the box. Got any tips?

Sorry I have no idea :( Would be best to reach out to Syrp directly!

My main problem with Syrp is the lack of integration of USB thru the system. I've a Canon M50 and can't use it on a Syrp system. But I can use it on my DJI Ronin SC as an intervalometer. That's the only reason that prevents me to use it as a timelapse system. I've got a SYRP pan and tilt that i've won, I didn't bought it, to be clear i'm not saying that the product is crap, Syrp product are well made and easy to use. I'm only complaining about software/firmware update. FYI : They told me that they are working on it but when will it be release i don't know. @Emeric if you can get the answers i'll be pleased to ear more about that (PS : J'adore tes vidéos et j'apprend beaucoup grâce à toi encore merci)

I used to own the Genie gen1, Genie mini gen1 and the magic carpet. Ridiculously unreliable software made it completely unusable... Hope you don't have to experience this! Cheers

Never worked with Syrp gear before, but the one I have is reliable so far. Some connection issues once in a while, but once it's going, it's going!
