She is not feral, she was locked up her entire life, 13 years until her almost blind mom walked into social services with her. Her dad forbid her from making a sound, she could not speak, she could not walk, severe malnutrition. Her parents went to prison. Her dad killed himself, she eventually ended up in foster care and then group home. Sad 😔

I feel like everyone gave up on her, but I can only imagine trying to take care of someone with her mental capacity after such a horrible situation. She deserves the whole world but unfortunately we can only give her so much 😕

​@@debrafarris6631 her mother passed in 2003. This all took place in the 60s and 70s, so long time ago. Supposedly Genie did live with her mother for a time, but later was relinquished to the state. Updated reports have Genie living in a home for disabled adults snd happy.

We all must work out our individual and family karma. l'm sure her next life will be a very very free one. We never know what lies behind the history of each soul's actions and its fruit.

what happened to her after foster care and stuff did she learn more things or was she unable to? 13 years of her life taken away shame that is in the video she may not show it but i think she was a bit happy to experience new things maybe a bit overwhelming for her but i think or well id like to think that she enjoyed her time after she became free from her father's hands

she was abused in different foster homes as well. i’m pretty sure her mom got custody of her back at some point and the same thing happened. all progress was erased and the people who studied her case thought that she was even worse when they saw her again. she’s still alive i think. someone hired a private investigator and she’s at an adult care center. they said that she seems happy and content.

@@anamaria-girllover I think we all wish we had a simple understanding of life and we wish we knew or didn't want to know but have the feeling to want to know why we went through the traumatic experiences we did cuz in the end it's either a person tells us it's just God's plan thing is why was his plan for us to endure something tragic and painful I have nothing against religion and if there is a god or gods then I wonder this kind of stuff i wonder why I had to get bit by a dog cuz I knew when I got attacked I would be afraid now of dogs and I was terrified for a long time thankfully I was able to overcome that fear it did take me a while and it was painful to deal with I wonder why that had to happen I wonder this poor girl had to suffer for 13 long years
