sir , in the last question since we have transformers in between of motor and generator which will step down the base voltage for motor hence the p.u impedance of motor will be multiplied by factor of MVA ratio only giving ans 1.44 pu.

sir in last question, if we convert resistance in actual value then shift using transforming ratio toward generator from load, and then convert in per-unit. i must get answer as you found, but i didn't (my answer is 1.44). i know my method is lengthy but still both answer must be same even i follow different steps. i checked myself twice please sir correct me.

Right. P.u values are not affected by transformer voltage. Only mva affects it

Sir in lecture 7 to calculate subtransient current we have to calculate subtransient emf not steady state emf

Sir made Easy me btaya gya ki subtransient fault calculation ke lie prefault subtransient induced emf calculate krna h.. Aur transient fault ke lie pre fault transient induced emf nikalna h.. Aur sustained fault ke lie pre fault xd leke emf find krna h

Sir 2001 wale question me man lijiye Subtransient ka chakar nhi hota to kya 1 ohm wale resistance ko per unit me change nhi krege... Isko bhi to per unit me change krna pdega.. 🙏

Sir you wrong you put resistance value in ohm why it should be used in p.u

Sir........in that problem where thevenin is not applicable you said, You took resistance of load as 1 ohm and calculated fault current value but you should take it in PU, 1 ohm * 500mva / 20 kv = 1.5 PU isnt it sir ? I=V/R I=20K/1 ohm = 20Kamps I pu= I actual* root 3 * 20kv /MVA........... I pu = 1.384 so, if we calculate PU current it will be 1.384 pu of load current and add it with generator current 5 pu both will give 6.384, CLOSER TO ACTUAL 6.4....... YOUR METHOD IS CURRECT BUT HOW Im GETTING RIGHT ANSWER SIR............PLEASE EXPLAIN ME SIR......

Thevenin ko valid krne ke liye age hm dono reactance same lenge to us concept ka kya hoga jisse hm kahte h ki steady state reactance is always greater than sub transient .

Sir aapne gate 2001 wale ques me fault current 6.4 pu nikale hain but correct ans given by iit is 5.05pu Ans 6.4pu is not in ans

Sir, 1st question mein aap jab Eg calculate kar rhe the prior to fault, tab aap load ki p.u. resistance value , 5/4 pu consider karna reh gye

at 21:58 you made the mistake. you take j0.2 in pu and value of resistance 1ohm , take both impedance in pu thevenin will be applicable here ..... Please comment I'm right or wrong

In first problem, while calculating Eg you have considered the fault. Then, instead of taking Xd'' why you took Xd ?

Pre-fault condition is steady state condition so obviously you'll consider steady state reactance Xd. When fault occurs, the initial reactance is subtransient reactance so that one is considered. If the question had said that it is a sustained fault then we would have taken Xd not Xd" to calculate short circuit current.

it may happen that the author of the book you are referring also did by the second method and did not consider the condition of superposition and printed the result as calculated by this method.
