We need equivalent Resistance right? So ideal voltage source has zero resistance which can be implemented by SC and ideal current source has infinite resistance which can only be implemented by OC

We short circuit the current source as in an ideal voltage source resistance is 0. And in current source we want infinite resistance so we open the circuit.

When we want to count equivalent resistance then we have to convert all independent sources to their internal resistance in ideal view .So voltage source would be short & current would be open.

Thevnien voltage is practical voltage source & norton current is practical current source ,so by considering the open & short circuit we calculate the value of resistance that will be connect in series / parallel with voltage/current source ...

to deactivate voltage source the value of voltage became zero as we know that v=ir , r=o means s.c Similarly current became zero when r=infinite means o.c

Bcz if we want equivalent Resistance so... Voltage source have Zero internal resistance so we can take it is as a short ckt... Current source have infinity internal resistance so we can take it is as a open ckt... 😎😋

We make voltage source sc and current source oc because; for ideal voltage source internal resistance is zero and for ideal current source it is infinity. So here basically we are replacing the sources with their internal resistances.

Very nice sir.. We put ideal voltage source at short circuit because it's resister should be 0 and we put ideal current shorce as open circuit because it's resistance should be infinite .

Internal resistance of voltage source is 0 in Ideal Voltage Source & Internal resistance of Current Source is infinite in ideal current source.That's why we are replacing the voltage source by short circuit & current source by open circuit..!

Because ideal voltage source has zero internal resistance and ideal current source has infinite internal resistance so voltage source is Short and current source is open circuit.

total resistance of the ckt will be the series parallel equivalent of VS ,CS and other resistances connected in the ckt therefore to find total equivalent resistances we need to calculate the internal resistance of VS and CS also together with other resistances.hence VS and CS are made dead (VS-SC and CS-OC).

ऐसा इसलिए करते हैं क्योंकि तुलना हमेशा एक जैसी वस्तुओं की होती है तो अगर आपको प्रतिरोध की बात करनी है तो जो भी ऊर्जा स्रोत लगे हुए हैं उनको उनके समकक्ष प्रतिरोध से प्रदर्शित करना पड़ेगा अन्यथा ये तुलना या समतुल्य प्रतिरोध की गणना सम्भव नहीं है।

To find equivalent resistance, practical independent sources are considered as ideal sources and we already know that ideal volage source has zero internal resistance & ideal current source has approximately infinite internal resistance, that's why to equivalent resistance voltage source is short circuited & current source is open circuited. But in case of dependent sources this thing does not happen. They are replaced by their internal resistances.

While calculating the eq resistance across any terminal, we have to take into mind all the available resistances in the circuit. So leaving all other resistances as it is, talking about the ideal independent VC and ideal independant CS, the resistance of Independent VS is zero while that of independent CS is infinite. This means which can SC and OC respectively

Since we are calculating the Req we replace all other independent sources by their resistance therefore the resistance of independent voltage source is zero and the resistance of independent current source is infinite.

Sir, yhan when load ke across koi bhi quantity nikalte hai to hmm sources ke across internal resistance ko neglect kr sakte hai so that voltage source ko short circuit krenge and current source ko open circuit

to nulify the effects of individual voltage and current sources on the resistances, as we know accoring to superposition principle independt voltage sources and current sources have their independents effect differently Ans we are required to find the resistances faced by volage and current source when connected across the terminals, also can only be done by short circuiting the voltage source and open circuit in case of independent current sources as they have infinite resistances.

As we know thevenin and Norton theorem are a practical source so in thevenin to find resistance, voltage source should be s/c that mean V = 0 . In this way we find resistance of the ckt.and Norton case current source should be open.

Dear sir, Rth gets disturbed when practical sources haveing Internal resistance are connect ed while calculating Rth. So we generally remove the sources that izz THEIR INTERNAL RESISTANCES WHILE CALCULATING Rth. Sir plzz rectify me if I m wronggg😀😀😀😀😀

If we do voltage source open circuited and current source short circuited ,then what is the meaning of finding the Thevenin resistance.. Indirectly the voltage source and current source are present (when we do V.S (OC) and C.S(SC) ) So we do V.S short-circuited and C.S open circuited

Sir voltage source 0 means voltage across it zero, and voltage 0 means short circuit, And current 0 means open circuit

By s.c of voltage source means there is no response of the voltage in the circuit. By o.c of current source means no response of current in the circuit.... At finally by O.C and S.C the network transform to the pure passive network.... Please give the answer for your questions sir at finally we can conclude it....

Coz when we short the voltage becomes zero and in open circuit current becomes zero and we just want to calculate the equivalent resistance without considering and supply that how much resistance is available in the ckt so that's why we follow this rule

Actually the independent sources are replaced by their internal resistances and ideal vtg source has 0ohm resistance and ideal current source has infinite ohm resistance

Bcoz ideal current source having infinite internal resistance and ideal volttage source having zero internal resistance thats why current source is open circuitet and voltage source is short circuited while finding equivalent resistance of a network. Short circuit= 0 resistance Open circuit= infinite resistance
