Most of the things these restorers restore, are older than todays stuff. That is probably why there aren't too many people who do this. Yes, I would try to restore this stuff and use it.

Something tells me that the machine was meant for dried corn still on the cob to be shucked and not dried whole corn turned into powder. It was still a nice job, I just think it was used for the wrong purpose.

How come a lot of restorers don't run a bead when arc welding? It seems like they just "spot Weld" where there should be beads.

I was watching the casting cleaning, on inside would been able to try a wire cup on a extension to get the inside of the cast tube? Or possibly a sand blast hopper gun. Dry river sand works pretty good. Looks good what you did.

I wouldn’t consider this a “Genius Boy” restores a corn grinder. If you knew anything you should know you can not weld cast iron that way if you are going to use this regularly. You could weld it if it was just for looks, but there’s a lot of things you made that are not very aesthetically pleasing. I do like your choice of colors though.
