Don't do the rat poison one! My neighbor did this to kill the mice in his yard. A squirrel ate the poison, came into my fenced in yard and died. My dog found it, ate on the poisoned squirrel and died too. I took my dog to the vet for an autopsy and it confirmed that he had rat poison in his body.

I agree their are safer ways to deal with rats mice. One is to keep area cleaner. Dont trow bread ect. Clean up leaves and wood next to houses and buildings.

Yeah, that PVC wouldn't stop my dog, he'd eat the pvc then eat the poison. I lost a cat this way when our upstairs neighbor used poison for her mouse problem and the mouse came downstairs where one of my cats ate it and died.

Glad that you actually show the process in longer detail, as most "hack" videos don't. Realky liked using a bag and duct tape around a cut off tree limb to make a "portable bucket". Good for anyone going camping or in the outdoors. Many others I liked, too!

@keriannekerr1876
@keriannekerr1876 Күн бұрын
He meant dryer vent. It should be cleared out at least twice a year (IIRC) and installing a dryer vent should use tape not screws to hold the pieces together because the pointy ends of the screws could snag lint over time.

To remove the sticky greasy dirt in the kitchen use oil (any kind, whatever you use for your salad) - not only to make it shine but also to protect against the greasy stuff and to get it off easier next time... lol The hammer hack had me shaking my head. The magnetic hammer is made to hold the nail the other way around. The hole that was covered up was for the head of the nail. The channel or grove along the head of the hammer holds the body of the nail. It's built into the hammer to allow you to tap it once and get it started and then you hammer away. No need to use two hammers. lmao

7:50 - **That's dumb as F#!** Yeah, so you don't have to recover a dead rodent from a box... No, you'll just have to A) smell them decay somewhere in the yard, under the deck, ect AND B) Pick up the dead animals that did find them... like your dog/cat.
@Texas240
@Texas240 4 ай бұрын
7:38 WARNING, not safe for dogs or cats. Many dogs view "stick looking" items, like the pvc pipe as a toy. Lots of dogs will have no problem chewing through the pipe as they investigate the smell and dogs ARE attracted to unknown smells. My dog pulled me over to some spilled poison pellets near a hardware store on a walk. Further, even if your dog is small enough or won't chew the pipe, as other comments point out, the dog or cat (or a neighbor's pet) can eat the animal that ate the poison. This will kill the pet. If you wouldn't feed your pet or neighbor's pet rat poison, skip using it and skip this unsafe "hack". If you're going to kill the rodents anyway, just use traps or tape stripes that can be placed in the same types of locations as the baited pipe.

you do not need a left hand drill bit set for this one, you can drill the pilot hole with a normal drill/bit. But the removal tool you will notice IS left handed, and this is because in order to unscrew the bolt, it must be of the opposite hand to the bolt. If you DO have a left-handed drill bit set (and all drills can be operated in both directions), then drilling the hole sometimes loosens the bolt !

Think about the ELECTRICITY powering the ELECTRIC fan and the WATER condensation dripping off the frozen WATER bottles, especially with an oscillating fan. Good concept, may be safer set ups out there. Use extreme... extreme caution when re-engineering or on power tools, especially if overriding safety feautures on chainsaws or any spinning blades.
