Golovkin was class, before, during and after the fight. Jacobs behaved like an absolute arse afterwards. The stuff about Golovkin not being a puncher was so salty, especially coming from a guy who'd been dropped and had both eyes swelled up.

GGG fought a cruiserweight on Saturday night who was given almost 2 days to rehydrate because of the earliest weigh ever on a friday morning in a Title fight, usually weigh ins are 24 hours prior to the fight, this time it was almost 40 hours. GGG, like always honored the rules of the organisations and walked the bigger man down, outworking him, outthrowing him, outlanding him, knocking him down and being more accurate as well. GGG definitive won that fight, if you score it 115:112, 116:111 or 114:113, but theres no way you can give Jacobs more than 6 rounds.. and i mean no way. Watch the fight again, score it round by round. GGG was the clear ring general and winner of that tough fight. After the fight GGG looked fresh as if he just came from sparring and Jacobs wore the worlds biggest sunglasses and his face looked like a pumpkinhead. That fight might have been a blessing in disguise finally giving Canelo and Saunders some guts to step into a ring with GGG.

Golovkin wanted to go the distance on purpose. He likes Danny and didn't want to destroy him. Gennady did just enough to win in order for Saunders and Canelo to think they can beat him. Gennady did not throw his usual combos, didn't punish the body, and limited his jab. If he wanted to, Triple G could have busted Jacobs up with just his jab. In the post fight interview, Golovkin clearly states he wanted a decision fight in order to line up a real quality opponent. It shows that Gennady purposely held a lot back. His plan worked. Now a lot of people are discrediting Triple G and say he's showing vulnerability and age. You will see Golovkin bring back his elite skills and finishing capability when he gets the Mexican or gypsy in the ring.

I love these videos. I always wait for these after every golovkin fight. And just a something i wanna say, this video really showed how smart golovkin fought. In my opinion jacob's speed was a bit much for golovkin and G backed up and defended at the right times and picked him off with his aggressive jabs and even managed to knock him down. I dont understand how people think jacobs got a ''clear win''. just because he went 12 rounds? or he looked like he threw more punches even tho he didnt lol? GGG Was extra cautious to get caught by Jacobs. Jacobs was cautious not to get hit so both fought a defensive fight. Abel was telling GGG let him walk into a punch which I thought was the wrong tactic. Jacobs was told to box which was a perfect plan when you don't attack. So both fought defensive why no ko. I understand it from GGGs point of view this was a make or break fight couldn't afford to lose or get reckless.

If you watch the fight again, you will see that Golovkin stalked Jacobs all through out the ring but didn't want to punish him. The lack of body shots from Triple G proves that. If Gennady wants to, he can break ribs. Just ask Matthew Macklin. Golovkin fought this fight like an amateur bout. Touch, get a point and don't get hit. Re-watching the fight you will see that Gennady blocked or avoided a lot of Danny's punches. I'm sure Jacobs got credit for shots that shouldn't have counted. Since knowing Gennady's game plan for this fight, I can see so many opportunities and openings that he didn't take advantage of, in an effort to carry Danny for 12 rounds. An example is at around 2:38 in the 2nd round. Golovkin craftily forces Jacobs into the corner then just reaches out touches him in the face letting him know that he could have taken off his head if he wanted to, but didn't. As a Triple G supporter, I don't like seeing him fight so compassionately. I suppose he didn't want to inflict too much pain on a guy that's already gone through so much. I didn't know Gennady Golovkin had such a big heart :)

I only saw it 1.5 times. I will watch it over and over again. This video definitely makes it look that GGG won the fight. Also, I found that they both over-respected the other guy. Both fighters didn't want to get into a phone booth fight the way Chocolatito and Rangvisai did. Anyway, part of me feels, GGG made himself look vulnerable to attract the other top fighters. A smaller part feels GGG is aging and/or not as great as some of us think.

Very close fight and definitely the hardest GGG has ever fought . 1 round scored either way code give the fight to any of them . Jacobs had the reach , height and size advantage and he definitely utilized it along with his speed and power . I think this is the hardest fight for GGG in the division , he couldn't deal with the range Jacobs dictated , I think he beats Canelo , and I think we're gonna see a rematch of this down the line .

Ggg needs to except the offer with canelo. He got beat by Jacob. Ggg is not a big name, 150k ppv buys vs Jacob . he can't get 50/50 on the deal. Canelo is a big name over 600k ppv fights. All of a sudden ggg says his next opponent would be someone else instead of saying Ima fight canelo next. Expect the deal and stop making canelo look bad. Canelo ain't running. Actually Canelo's biggest payday will be the GGG fight, GGG needs him as much as Canelo needs GGG. Canelo is running out of super welterweights and C fighters for wins, it won't be long before he realizes the GGG fight is the last real "super fight" for him.

If the fight happens, there will be way more canelo fans then ggg fans. Ggg except the offer that there offering you, before that offer gets lower when fighters are beating you in the ring.

Geovany Alonzo it's not a fair deal when the fight will bring in significantly more than that...a super fight like that should never be offered as a flat rate. That is just Canelo making sure he gets compensated if he looses.

Armando Gomez If you go down from a punch it's considered a knockdown even if you get punched and then immediately slip...but that was what they call a "flash" knockdown, GGG threw two right hands in a row while he was turning, Jacobs saw the first one but didn't see the second one and that's what stung him...then they got all tangled up because Jacobs did what you should do and that is hang on for dear life.
