I am a competitive programmer myself, I haven't been on competitions as big as this one, but from what I can tell, he's just looking at the problem statement in one window and then switching to his IDE (Far Manager) to add more code, and then he compiles the code, and the quick flashes of code you see is actually input and output of the task, so its just a bunch of alt-tabbing and looking at input/output of the code, nothing impressive, what is impressive is how quickly he solves these ridiculously hard tasks.

All the questions about which monitor and which IDE he is using.. Guys, it doesnt matter what monitor he uses, and also the editor doesnt matter (he uses a super shit one, something like mcedit is on the Midgnight Commander).. He is just good.. Because he actually works on this stuff So, if you want to tell yourself that you arent good, because you spend 99% of the time in finding the right monitor, IDE, color scheme, language, you are doing it wrong.
