WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

There is not even one single "death," in the entire bible. This is a work of mythology not history or geography. For instance, Esther (Venus/Aphrodite), her father the sun and mother the moon are doing quite well. The Eagle (Aquila constellation) that carried Moses (Ganymede - Aquarius) to the top of the mountain (Exodus 19.3-4) are still in the heavens. Iphigena/Jephigenia, the constellation Virgo, the daughter of Jephtha/Agamemnon/Idomenus (the sun) are still where they have always been.

@S. gloobal He created the creatures that became wicked. He gave them the free will to become wicked. God himself is responsible for the existence of wicked creatures. He could have easily chosen to create creatures that wouldn't exercise their free will to become wicked. He could have easily chosen to create creatures that he wouldn't have to kill later on. Why did he make the choice he made?

Clearly you yourself haven’t thought it through well enough, Logic warps in on itself You just can’t handle it because you’re holding on to your beliefs and identity so much that you do not allow yourself to experience what truth really is, existentially, you really haven’t questioned what “you” are, existentially, which is just a concept, nothing more, but that’s only from one point of view, because from the other point of view you aren’t just a concept but rather everything that there is and has been, Ever heard the saying that you can’t have something without nothing? Vice versa? It’s paradox, God, whatever it is, knows everything, because it’s the ground of all existence, but also knows nothing, because the ground of all existence is nothing BUT remember nothing IS something In one way, god became man so that man may become god, or recognize godhood This is the intention of zen koans, meditation to a lesser degree... They are meant to scramble your ego and your rational mind to spill out into pure truth, existence itself which is what always has been and always will be, raw being, (your ego being your pet concepts theories and beliefs about everything) Eternally unexplainable through logic, but only understood or experienced rather through true faith, faith in the sense that there is no longer a “you” in your mind pulling you into ideology, fear, pain, judgments, and skeptical dogma... you’ve surrendered yourself to god, and you realize the bedrock of what you are, the universe itself Transcend beliefs, get over your “self” and transcend the dogma of atheism and skepticism or whatever else you unknowingly cling to, and tap into what’s been in front of you ever since the beginning of time itself (even though every beginning is also an end) Consciousness will be the next breakthrough science if we don’t destroy the planet before it’s more recognized or rather experienced without dogma Truth is much stranger than people are willing to admit, again, pride, ego over truth, the so called original sin we see this metaphor here, your sense of separation from alll that there is and god is what damns you to “hell” which is just your plain existence of constant judgment (to say this is good or this is bad, I hate this about my life but I love this, that is cruel and this is kind, this is deserved and this is not deserved, this I can surely believe and that I cannot, so forth)

The ending shows just how messed up Daniel's mind is. "How do we know if God chose to not know?" Right, the being who is supposed to be omniscient/all-knowing doesn't know something because he chose to not know it...Then he's not all-knowing at all. Which contradicts most Christians' description of God in the first place.

Jesus was reported to have told his disciples, "Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened." - Matt. 24:34; Mark 13:30; Luke 21:32 "Given that in his next statement Jesus notes that the exact day and hour is unknown even to himself, the simple meaning of his previous statement is that the Second Coming was to be witnessed by people literally living in that same generation." Victor J. Stenger notes that Jesus is recorded as saying, "...there are some standing here, which shall not taste death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom " - Matt 16:28 "He makes similar predictions in five other places in the Gospels; Mark 9:1, Mark 13:30, Matt 24:34, Luke 9:27, Luke 21:32. In Stenger's view, when the coming did not happen within the life-times of his disciples, as Jesus prophesied, Christianity changed its emphasis to the resurrection and promise of eternal life." Wikipedia. Conclusion: Jesus isn't sure when he'll be returning.

TheRetroGamingNerd There’s a study online by a research firm concerning Christians and their bible reading...it doesn’t help their case. One in five Americans, LifeWay Research found, has read through the Bible at least once. That includes 11 percent who’ve read the entire Bible once, and 9 percent who’ve read it through multiple times. Another 12 percent say they have read almost all of the Bible, while 15 percent have read at least half. *About half of Americans (53 percent) have read relatively little of the Bible.* *One in 10 has read none of it*, while 13 percent have read a few sentences.* *Thirty percent say they have read several passages or stories.* Americans also differ in how they approach reading the Bible. Twenty-two percent read a little bit each day, in a systematic approach. *A third (35 percent) never pick it up at all, while 30 percent look up things in the Bible when they need to.* *Nineteen percent re-read their favorite parts, while 17 percent flip open the Bible and read a passage at random.* *A quarter (27 percent) read sections suggested by others, while 16 percent say they look things up to help others.* Tl;Dr: They believe in a book they really don’t read.

It’s also curious how the god depicted in the bible chooses death and destruction on multiple occasions as the best solution to the problems he created and new would happen. Yet this god at no point chooses death and destruction for the devil figure in the bible which is the one thing supposedly causing the problems in the first place.

We're all but two of every animal on Earth evil as well? What about the fish? Did they even notice that there was a flood or did God just not worry about them because the fish weren't evil (but somehow all the land based animals _were_ evil)? Speaking of which, did Noah go all the way down to the Marianas trench and get two of each of the shrimp and tube worms around the vents? Did they have submersibles back then capable of reaching 7 mi below the surface of the ocean? How does something that lives 7 mi below the surface even survive on an arc?

If a God existed, it would be irrefutable and there would be statues, monuments in every society not just in paintings of places of worship and we would not be learning evolution. Two things: What about metaphysics? Aristotle, perhaps the greatest thinker in history, provided us with the most famous argument for God. Evolution is compatible with God’s existence. Mark 10:6 " But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ Referencing Adam and Eve and placing them at the very beginning of the Universe. Even if 'Adam' is allegory for all of Humankind, it's still incredibly problematic since the body of evidence we have today doesn't point to humans being around for 14 billion years, nor does it point to Earth existing in the beginning (they're billions of years apart). Evolution might be compatible with gods existence should it exist (I think it necessarily would if both things are true), however, it doesn't appear The Bible aligns itself with our scientific understanding of the Cosmos and life arising. There's only one person in this conversation who is closest of the definition of being absolute evil and it's not either of the hosts. Really, it doesn't matter if you're religious or not (although religious beliefs do help foster such sick mindsets, other ideologies do as well; due to the day before yesterday being the Tiananmen anniversary and by virtue of being Taiwanese, I'd suffered hate speech in which I was threatened with massacre for over 50 times by Chinese supremacists in a single day. I regard them as being no less evil, probably worst, than Christians that support God's choice of Biblical slavery and genocides, despite my offenders being nominally atheists); if you think the best solution to a problem is genocide, you're a monster and you should distance yourself from any form of human civilization. I am sick about these people, both those who threaten me with genocide and those with eternal torment, I hate them equally. Merely listening to them makes me burn up from the inside...and yet I can't even walk the easy path of simply desiring to kill them all, in order to be morally superior over them. Is it wrong to wish someone who wishes you dead dead? Is it wrong to wish those who make your life miserable dead? What is wrong with these people, and what makes me trapped in the same world with them?

Like: "So if you who were able to create a world and all the creatures on it including humans, and when you thought about what would happen you realized that you would end up killing all the humans including babies and children except for one family, would you go ahead and create it anyway? Do you think you might try to think of a way to create a world and the beings on it without having to commit mass murder? If you were God of the universe, would it be possible for you to figure out a way to create things without having to destroy most of them?

In our society, a father is responsible for his kids' misdeeds. A father has civil responsibility if his son steals something from a store, for example, and is morally responsible for the education of said kid to try to correct him towards the future. A father is responsible for the conduct that is quite evident in his kids, although he is not responsible for the criminal conduct that he could not have foreseen. And this is the way society should work. Parents must at least try to educate their kids properly. Parents must ask themselves a few things when their kids suddenly have a lot more money than what you expect or gave them. Parents must ask some questions when their kids' friends are not recommendable or are nowhere to be seen. And God supposedly had a gazillion times more knowledge, so he had a gazillion more responsibility on the eventual supposed genocide.

The only two values of punishment are either to rehabilitate the culprit or to prevent him to do it again. Christian punishment does neither, because God waits for you to die, giving you ample time to commit any crime for your whole life, and then he punishes you forever, rendering the punishment USELESS, unless you just want revenge and for your enemies to suffer. God is a horrible, horrible monster.

DON, the bigger question here for Daniel and others of his ilk: Where do they get their beliefs and where do they get their prep to defend those beliefs? This is not a silly question, however. Someone in the case of christianISTs, likewise in the case of MormonISTs, provides role plays, prep sessions and so on, to these willing young men (aged 16 perhaps to 30?) who seem to be driven by a rabid need to show they're right, to show they are "male worthies" and to perhaps audition for the next tent preacher warm up person.... Where do they get their beliefs? Their prep? Is this divinity school crap? Or is this more of a boiler room preparation for more vile purposes?
