Something we can notice is that after every death in a song, when we hear the character singing until they die, they sing to the tone of “His Theme” and rythm to it. So basically “His Theme” is a song sung at death. Papyrus probably didn’t sing to it, nor Undyne. Alphys, Ashlee, Sans, and other bosses have sung to that tone.
