Genome Nu Aliveness Day 2022

Today was "Aliveness Day" for Genome Nu: the day the robot's electronics and software controlled all the major robot mechanisms for the first time. This is a banner day every year. From here it's all tweaking and testing. (and breaking and improving)

I like that the shooter wraps around to be able to score low on the one side and presumably low and high on the other. No climber on this robot?

Not yet. We're working through our list of priorities. We'll have something by the first competition.

We're trying to do a similar shooter with our neos and I'm just curious how did you guys connect your neo to the hub for the belts?

With an 8mm to 1/2 hex adapter. Most of the FRC-specific vendors have them. VexPro's part number is 217-3255.

@@Mathew_Perrea It's just a machined metal plate with a gear rack set into the edge, most likely designed by taking 1/4 ish of a full gear and turning it into a plate. You can see the COTS gear that interacts with it at 0:03. The plate attaches with 3 10-32 bolts, but I'm not entirely sure how they machined it given how small the teeth are

Will CAD for this design be made publicly available? I'm interested to see how the hood actuates.
