I loved the rock rendition of Yun Jin and the Lantern Rite themes so much !!!! Especially Yun Jin's since she's a fan of Xinyan's music in canon --- so it's fun to think of that as Xinyan's rendition of her friend's theme lol. Also as a South Asian person, I love how Yu-Peng Chen's compositions are so evocative of music I've heard growing up, and really pay homage to the South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures they draw from. It's such a gem.

I personally would have loved more emphasis on orchestral music, but still the concert was an amazing banger. I think the Enkanomiya portion was one of my favorite parts to be honest. The loneliness of that region is hauntingly beautiful

My thoughts on each nation's music vibes: - Mondstadt is the nation of freedom, so a lot of them sounded very relaxing and carefree or adventurous. - Liyue is the nation of contact (which is essentially money related), so a lot of them sounded very optimistic, lively, and happy but with a couple of nostalgic ones. - Inazuma is the nation of eternity (which I interpret as carrying on legacies and culture for all of eternity), so a lot of them sounded a bit more somber and serious. - Sumeru is the nation of wisdom (which I think relates to the power and danger that comes with knowledge and wisdom), so a lot of them sounded captivating and inspiring, with a side of cautionary tales to them. Personally, I prefer the happier music from Liyue and Sumeru, considering how beautiful and cute this game is, but Inazuma does have the best battle OST (I suggest watching the orchestra version of Duel in the Mist, where the traditional instruments really remind me of how battle-intense Inazuma was for me) and Mondstadt is just vibing.

I think this year concert was their this year journey that's why there was less liyue and sumeru like golden Apple mondstat event then Inazuma then chasm and rebuild of chamber and then sumeru makes sense to me if it's that I could be wrong just a guess

I feel like they simply remixed the tracks a bit too much this time round... Like what made the last one so good was that it was a live performance of what was already amazing. They gilded the lily this time imo. And with the Raiden Theme for example - the most important beat drop got muffled as a result. Still - it was fire.

I mean yeh personal opinions. For me personally I liked the covers even more cause I was worries they were again just gonna do a live performance of what I had heard many times. Live performance of iconic songs are not worth it for me like raidens one the beat drop you said was muffled was surprising for me as well but in a good away. I like unexpected things.

The clay pot part had me quite shocked, I’m pretty sure it’s used often in Middle eastern and south Asian, clay pots are often used in smaller celebrations and local festivals and events, and actually using it for the concert is quite incredible if I do say so.

Honestly I prefer the first one, this concert was good, but some songs were… too mixed I think? Some of them had too much going on, it was personally not my thing. It was still a good concert just some songs I would skip, like the 4th (Photon of Fluctuation) was too much, the beginning was really good, and suddenly (when they began showing visuals of Dragonspine) too many sounds were being mixed in and it just sounded messy. Still I had a good time Edit: again this is just my personal opinion, I’m not saying the songs were bad, I know there was a lot of work put into it and it was a good concert. I re-read my comment and realised it might’ve sounded kind of harsh but I was only trying to explain why I didn’t like certain songs. The artists probably put a lot of effort into it and I’m not trying to discredit their work.

no i honestly agree with you. i thought this concert was pretty underwhelming, at least compared to the other ones we've had so far, especially the first anniversary one. its too bad because i can tell a lot of work went into it, they got a variety of artists, and a lof of them are clearly very talented and passionate. its sad to say this concert fell short of what i expected. then again, hoyoverse didnt advertise it nearly as much as they did last year, so theyre probably aware this doesnt go as hard.

The Photon of Fluctuation remix is definitely an acquired taste. I've listened to too much jazz music so I'm used to hearing bands taking this much freedom with their solos. Plus, I've seen on many other reactions that most people are NOT familiar with this amount of syncopation.

This is a cover of the original, apparently this was played by Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, the original was played by the London Symphony Orchestra. that one with LSO was mixed by HOYO-mix, this one is just recorded as it is
